XCHANGING APPOINTS NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR TO LEAD TWO OF ITS LONDON MARKET INSURANCE BUSINESSES
Max Pell to lead Xchanging Ins-sure Services and Xchanging Claims Services
LONDON, 23 November 2009 - Xchanging plc (LSE:XCH), the global business processor today announced the appointment of Max Pell as Managing Director of Xchanging Ins-sure Services (XIS) and Xchanging Claims Services (XCS). Max will replace Roger Townsend who will be retiring early in 2010. Roger will support Max and the Xchanging insurance business in a relationship management capacity until he retires.
Max joins Xchanging from Capita plc where he most recently headed the Specialist Services division as Managing Director and Divisional Board Director. His role encompassed areas of expertise within Legal Services, Occupational Health, Retail call centres and Insurance Services. He was responsible for Capita's London Market business and their Managing Agency. Prior to joining Capita, Pell spent four years as Operations Director for Hiscox Insurance Company Ltd.
Xchanging's Insurance business is an established provider of business processing, products, services and software in the international commercial insurance markets. XIS and XCS provide a full suite of risk carrier back-office services.
XIS provides insurance processing services to businesses in the London Insurance market, including business processing, policy issuance and payments. It is a joint venture between Lloyd's, the International Underwriting Association (IUA) and Xchanging (the Business Processing group). Since its establishment in 2001 through the merger of the Lloyd's Policy Signing Office (LPSO) and the London Processing Centre (LPC), XIS has played a major role in transforming processes in the London Insurance market, working in close co-operation with Market Associations and businesses.
XCS has over 300 employees and has one of the largest concentrations of commercial claims management expertise in the London Insurance Market and is one of the largest claims service providers in the world.
