Valereum Plc announces Strategic Collaboration with ZIGChain, DigiShares &VLRM Markets to Launch Institutional RWA Tokenisation Platform

Valereum Plc (AQSE: VLRM) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding ("MoU") with ZIGChain and DigiShares (the "Parties"). This MoU marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration through which the Parties intend to explore the development of a scalable, institutional-grade platform for real-world asset ("RWA") tokenisation and Web3 driven wealth management.

MoU Overview

This MoU outlines the initial intentions and foundations for a multi-party collaboration between the Parties, aiming to combine regulatory expertise, blockchain infrastructure, and advanced tokenisation technology.

Under the MoU, the Parties intend to explore the following:

● DigiShares to consider the integration of ZIGChain as one of the lead tokenisation blockchains for existing and new clients.

● DigiShares to explore the provision of a white label, institutional-grade RWA tokenisation platform.

● VLRM Markets, through DigiShares, to look into the deployment of an RWA marketplace and the potential to add a number of issuances on ZIGChain, which features full KYC/AML onboarding, smart contract-based asset ownership, and peer-to-peer trading capabilities for real estate, investment funds, and other RWAs.

● The Parties will explore the possibility of DigiShares technology supporting tokenisation efforts by Zamanant, with plans to onboard other third-party clients seeking custom-branded RWA marketplaces powered by ZIGChain infrastructure.

● Further synergistic opportunities may include using the Zignaly distribution engine for VLRM Markets' tokenised assets and ecosystem enablement, to build secondary market infrastructure complementing the existing DeFi ecosystem on ZIGChain.

Scalable Institutional Platform

The collaboration aims to drive institutional adoption of compliant RWA tokenisation, leveraging ZIGChain's blockchain and DigiShares' proven platform capabilities. It advances Valereum's strategic mission to accelerate the deployment of regulated tokenisation infrastructure and deliver long-term value for its shareholders, along with the various stakeholders of ZIGChain, DigiShares and VLRM Markets.

While the initial focus is on the MENA region, leveraging the presence of Zamanat in the region, all parties share a vision to pursue global expansion in the future.

VLRM Markets

As part of this MoU, VLRM Markets will consider tokenising some of its asset issuances on the ZIGChain blockchain to enable the distribution of RWAs to a network of institutions, HNW individuals, and KYC/whitelisted retail investors via ZIGChain's RWA product infrastructure. One of the objectives of the integration is to enhance buy-side reach for VLRM Markets' offerings, for the benefit of both issuers and investors. 

On-Chain RWA DEX Development

In a future phase of collaboration, the Parties aim to develop the first whitelisted institutional-grade decentralised exchange ("DEX") focused on RWAs. This initiative will complement existing DEXs on ZIGChain, including Oroswap.

Wider Strategic Synergy

This collaboration reflects Valereum's broader mission to integrate traditional financial systems with the evolving landscape of decentralised finance ("DeFi"), by developing compliant, accessible, and secure infrastructure that supports the adoption and use of digital assets.  Through the potential areas of collaboration with the Parties, Valereum aims to enhance its infrastructure offering for regulated asset tokenisation and institutional DeFi.
