Synthomer plc
Synthomer plc ("Synthomer" or "the Company") announces the following transactions by persons discharging managerial responsibilities:
· The sale by Mr A M Whitfield, the Synthomer Group Chief Executive, of a total of 90,976 ordinary shares on 14 and 15 May for an aggregate transaction value of £243,811.
· The exercise on 14 May 2014 by Mr D C Blackwood, the Synthomer Chief Financial Officer, of an option under the Company's long term incentive plan resulting in the realisation of a net sum in respect of a zero cost option over 66,766 ordinary shares awarded to him in 2011 under the terms of the 2002 Performance Share Plan. The net realisation was calculated on the basis of the Company's closing share price of 270p on 13 May 2014.
Following the above transactions Mr Blackwood and his spouse hold an aggregate of 143,190 shares in the Company and Mr Whitfield holds 197,388 shares in the Company in each case currently worth in excess of 100% of their respective annual basic salaries.
The issued share capital of the Company is 339,880,769 shares of 10p each.
