Smallbone PLC28 April 2006 SMALLBONE plc ("Smallbone or "the Group") AGM Statement At Smallbone plc's AGM held today Charles Smallbone Chairman and Chief Executivemade the following comments: "2005 saw significant developments for the Group with the acquisition of MarkWilkinson Furniture doubling the size of our furniture operations, thebroadening of our showroom network in the UK and the successful launch of newproduct ranges. The order intake in the first quarter of 2006 has been very encouraging acrossthe Group and we have an exciting year ahead of us. Mark Wilkinson has opened anew showroom in Harrogate this month, with another planned in Weybridge thisAutumn; Smallbone of Devizes open a flagship showroom in Manhattan in June andits new bedroom and bathroom offerings, launched in January, have performedencouragingly; and, Paris Ceramics in the US has completed its head office andfactory relocation to Virginia and is opening a new showroom in Naples, Floridaas well as completing the refurbishment of its New York showroom in May. We believe that 2006's performance will begin to derive the financial benefitsof the groundwork we have laid in 2004 and 2005, as well as financing ourfurther investment plans to secure growth in 2007 and beyond."
