DSS makes inroads in South Africa

Seeing Machines Limited (AIM: SEE) announces today that its South African distributor Booyco Electronics (Booyco) has signed a contract with BHP Energy Coal South Africa Limited (BECSA) for the supply and installation of the DSS Fatigue Monitoring Systems in participating BECSA Operations in South Africa.

Seeing Machines has received purchase orders for the first systems to be installed as a result of this contract which will cover 5 BECSA sites in South Africa. Booyco has been working with BECSA since May 2010 and has so far installed 44 DSS units at various BECSA sites in South Africa.

This contract follows on from a successful trial at the Klipspruit Colliery.

Anton Lourens, Managing Director of Booyco Electronics commented: "This contract represents our largest deal to date for the DSS and we are extremely pleased that BECSA have seen the benefits in deploying the technology more broadly across their operations."

Ken Kroeger, CEO of Seeing Machines commented: "We are very pleased that Booyco have had this success with BECSA following all the work they have put into developing the market in South Africa. This continues to demonstrate the need for fatigue management technology and services and further supports the industries' acceptance of DSS as the most reliable choice for their demanding environment."

About Seeing Machines' Truefield® Analyzer (TFA)

Currently going through its final clinical trials, the TFA will make objective visual field testing a clinical reality. It combines objectivity with 'non-contact' ease of use, making it easy for technicians and patients, giving clinicians objectivity when assessing their patients' conditions. Assessing both eyes concurrently, TFA tests are fast and can be run in both full-test and screening modes. The tests' bilateral concurrency allows the consensual light reflex to be exploited to identify bilateral asymmetries improving test accuracy. Most importantly, the TFA makes objective perimetry a clinical reality.
