Board changes - Seeing Machines announces new Chair

Seeing Machines Limited (AIM: SEE, "Seeing Machines" or the "Company"), the advanced computer vision technology company that designs AI-powered operator monitoring systems to improve transport safety, announces that Kate Hill has been appointed Chair of the Board on a permanent basis, with immediate effect.

Jack Boyer OBE has resigned his position as Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

As announced on 5 June 2019, Mr Boyer has indicated that current and future Directorships and other professional commitments have placed him in a position where he is no longer able to dedicate the requisite time, travel and energy to fulfil his role on the Board of Seeing Machines.

Since stepping down as Chairman of Seeing Machines, Mr Boyer has spent the past six weeks in close consultation with the Board to ensure an orderly and expeditious transition to the new Chair.

Ms Hill has held the role of interim Chair since 5 June 2019.

Kate Hill, Chair of Seeing Machines commented: "Jack has been a valued member of the Seeing Machines Board and we thank him for his energy and direction in his position as Chairman, where he oversaw a restructure of the Board and management to position the Company for future growth.

"On a personal note, I enjoyed working with Jack, thank him for his counsel and support, and wish him well in his future endeavours.

"I am delighted to be taking on the role of Chair at Seeing Machines on a permanent basis. I am very excited about our future here and look forward to working closely with Paul McGlone and the management team to leverage the tremendous opportunities across our transport sectors as driver monitoring technology continues to influence the safety agenda globally."

About Seeing Machines - www.seeingmachines.com

Seeing Machines (LSE: SEE), a global company headquartered in Australia, is an industry leader in computer vision technologies which enable machines to see, understand and assist people. The Company's machine learning vision platform has the know-how to deliver real-time identification and understanding of drivers through Artificial Intelligence (AI) analysis of heads, faces and eyes. This insight enables Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS), which monitor driver/operator identification and attention and can detect drowsiness and distraction across multiple transport sectors.

Seeing Machines develops DMS for the Automotive, Commercial Fleet, Aviation, Rail and Off-Road markets. The Company has offices in Australia, USA, Europe and Asia, and delivers multi-platform solutions to industry leaders in each vertical.

DMS is becoming a core safety technology integrated into ADAS offerings for the automotive industry, particularly with the development of semi-autonomous and self-driving cars. DMS is also increasingly seen to be an integral safety feature across the Commercial Transport & Logistics industry and is set to be become a regulatory requirement for all cars, vans, trucks and buses in Europe from 2022, with the rest of the world expected to follow soon after.
