Operational update

Rome Resources Plc (AIM: RMR), the DRC-focused tin and base metals explorer, notes the notification released by Alphamin Resources Corp. ("Alphamin") earlier today announcing, inter alia, that Alphamin has made the decision to temporarily cease mining operations at the Bisie tin mine in the Walikale District, North Kivu Province of east-central Democratic Republic of Congo, in light of recent advancements of insurgent militant groups towards the region. The Company's Bisie North Tin project is located 8km from Alphamin.

The Company has now completed its drilling activity in relation to holes MADD024 and MADD026 at the Mont Agoma prospect. In this respect, with the Company's drilling programme now complete, pending the maiden inferred mineral resources estimate, the Company is now preparing to temporarily cease operational activity near the mine site following the completion of the planned drilling programme. The Company is also finalising the relocation of all personnel to Kisangani.

The Company will provide a further update in relation to the latest recent drilling results shortly.
