Board changes

William Hill PLC (LSE: WMH) (William Hill or the Group) announces the appointment of Georgina Harvey and Imelda Walsh as Non-executive Directors with effect from 1 November 2011.

Georgina Harvey has, since 2005, been Managing Director of the Regionals division of Trinity Mirror plc. Georgina Harvey started her media career at Express Newspapers plc where she was appointed Advertising Director in 1994. She joined IPC Media Ltd in 1995 and went on to form IPC Advertising in 1998, where she was Managing Director. She was a member of the Board of IPC Media from 2000. Ms Harvey was appointed President of the Newspaper Society in July 2010.

Imelda Walsh was Group Human Resources Director at J Sainsbury plc from 2004 to 2010 and while there was also a non-executive director of Sainsbury's Bank. Ms Walsh started her career at Grand Metropolitan Foods Europe before joining Coca Cola & Schweppes Beverages in 1991 and Barclays Bank plc in 1998, where she held a variety of HR roles. Ms Walsh is a Trustee of Comic Relief and a Board member of the Institute of Employment Studies.

In accordance with the Listing Rules, there are no additional matters that would require disclosure under LR 9.6.13 R (1) to (6) in relation to Ms Walsh's and Ms Harvey's appointments.
