OMG PLC27 November 2006 27 November 2006 OMG plc Contract Win First contract win for Geospatial Vision OMG plc, Oxford Metrics Group (LSE: OMG), ("OMG" or "the Group") the technologygroup providing image understanding products for the entertainment, defence,life science and engineering industries, is pleased to announce the signing ofits first contract for its Geospatial Vision division. As announced at the time of the interim results, Geospatial Vision wasestablished as part of OMG's strategy of expansion through leveraging existingtechnology in new vertical markets. The division focuses on street-levelgeospatial imagery and provides new technologies for the management andmaintenance of key national infrastructures. The agreement, with a UK local authority, is the first contract to be signed bythe division. Under this agreement, OMG will be using its recently commissionedvehicle to complete an in-depth highway survey. This will involve capturingstreet-level video and automatically extracting asset data to provide the localauthority with a register of assets, identifying the type of asset and keyattributes such as the size, colour and location.
