Statement Re Press Comment

NetPlay TV plc (AIM: NPT), the interactive gaming company, notes weekend press comment in relation to scratchcard promotions run by Abstract Games Ltd.

Abstract Games Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Netplay TV plc. All games launched receive prior copy advice from all the necessary regulatory bodies.

All promotions comply with Advertising Standards ("ASA") authority in relation to 'free' entry claims. The ASA states that this has to be less than current public rates of postage. Abstract Games charges 30p, less than a first class stamp, to cover postage. 

With current promotions, entrants can either play for "free" by post or, if they wish to find out immediately what prize they have won, they can choose to call or send a text message which is charged at a lower rate than the minimum prize available.

The Company is assisting Phone Pay Plus (Premium rate ruling body) with their planned review of the premium rate subscription industry which is welcomed and supported by the Company.
