NetPlay TV plc (AIM: NPT), the interactive gaming company,Β notes weekend press comment in relation toΒ scratchcard promotions run by Abstract Games Ltd.
Abstract Games Ltd is aΒ wholly owned subsidiary ofΒ Netplay TV plc. All gamesΒ launchedΒ receive priorΒ copy adviceΒ from all the necessary regulatory bodies.
All promotionsΒ complyΒ with Advertising StandardsΒ ("ASA")Β authorityΒ in relation toΒ 'free' entry claims. The ASA statesΒ that this has to be less than current public rates of postage. AbstractΒ GamesΒ charges 30p, less than a first class stamp, to cover postage.Β
With current promotions, entrants canΒ either play for "free" by post or, if they wish to find out immediately what prize they have won, they can choose to call or send a text message which is charged at a lower rate than the minimum prize available.
The Company is assisting Phone Pay Plus (Premium rate ruling body) with their planned review of the premiumΒ rate subscription industry which is welcomed and supported by the Company.Β
