Molins PLC25 April 2005 25 April 2005 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MOLINS PLC Annual General Meeting At today's AGM, Peter Byrom, Chairman of Molins said: "In the Tobacco Machinery division activity in both spares and service isrunning ahead of last year. The order intake for original equipment and rebuildequipment continues to be weak. Opportunities remain for a number of potentialequipment orders, although timescales are no more certain now than they were twomonths ago. The division continues to implement the restructuring programmewhich commenced last year. We have identified more opportunities for efficiencygains and expect to transfer further activities to our facility in the CzechRepublic. "Trading in the Packaging Machinery division is broadly matching ourexpectations. Order books are continuing at satisfactory levels and, althoughit is expected that the division will show a particularly strong second halfweighting, the overall performance for the year should be maintained. "The performance of the Scientific Services division is also matching ourexpectations, with order intake ahead of last year."
