Notice of General Meeting
The Company is pleased to announce that a circular containing a notice of General Meeting will be sent to shareholders today.
The General Meeting will consider resolutions to approve the adoption of the previously announced new investing policy to make investments in the Technology, Media and Internet sectors and to change the Company's name to Monchhichi Plc.
The General Meeting will also consider resolutions inter alia to adopt new Articles of Association and grant the directors new authorities to allot shares for general purposes and on a non pre-emptive basis.
The notice of General Meeting and the proposed new Articles of Association will be available on the Company's website at www.mercomcapital.co.uk.
The General Meeting will take place at 11.00 a.m. on 24 January 2017 at the offices of Cooley (UK) LLP, Dashwood, 69 Old Broad Street, London EC2M 1QS.
Commenting on today's announcement, Simon Fry, Executive Chairman of the Company, said:
"Should the resolutions be approved at the General Meeting, my fellow Directors and I expect to be able to make a swift start to the implementation of our bespoke investment strategy. We are wholeheartedly committed to ensuring that our shareholders are able to partake in our growth plans, such that, over time, we can all jointly harvest the benefits of the new strategy.
