Board Changes

McBride plc, Europe's leading supplier of Private Label Household and Personal Care products, today announces the appointment of Rik De Vos as Chief Executive Officer.

He will take up the role during the first quarter of 2015 on a date yet to be confirmed. Until Rik's arrival the Company's Executive Management Team will report to Iain Napier, the Chairman of McBride.

Rik is currently Global General Manager for the Flexible Foam division of Recticel, the quoted Belgian company, which operates in 28 countries and employs 7800 people.

He is Belgian with a speciality chemical background in providing technical products to a wide variety of international customers and consumers. His experience spans a career with ICI, Huntsman, Rohm & Haas and BorsodChem.

Rik brings extensive general management experience internationally as well as proven success in completing several strategic turnaround projects where businesses have been restored to profitable growth. His skill base is particularly relevant to McBride as the Group restructures its existing business and seeks expansion opportunities in continental Europe.

Chris Bull will leave the Board with immediate effect but will make himself available to ensure an orderly handover to Rik if and when required.

The Board can confirm that there has been no material change in the trading or financial prospects of the Group since McBride issued its AGM & Interim Management Statement on 20 October 2014. McBride will provide its trading update for the six months ending 31 December 2014 on the 5 January 2015.

Rik De Vos's remuneration will be in line with the remuneration received by Chris Bull in the role and in line with the Company's remuneration policy. Details of his remuneration package and the severance terms for Chris Bull will be posted on the Company's website shortly.
