Transfer of shares into Treasury

The Company announces that on 14 June 2011 it purchased, through Investec, 42,500 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company at an average price of 137.352 pence per share. The highest price paid was 138 pence per share and the lowest price paid was 136.5 pence per share. The Company will hold the shares in Treasury to meet options under the McBride plc Savings Related Share Option Scheme to be exercised in 2012.

Following the above transactions the Company now holds 1,103,378 shares in Treasury and has a total of 179,936,923 ordinary shares (excluding treasury shares) in issue.
