Michelmersh Brick Holdings plc (AIM:MBH), the specialist brick, land development and landfill company, announced on 9 August 2010 that Steve Morgan had been appointed as interim Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary. The Board is now pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Morgan as the new Finance Director of the Group.

Stephen Huw Perrott Morgan, aged 50, is a qualified Chartered Accountant and he trained with KPMG between 1985 and 1988. He went on to join Hawtin plc, the AIM quoted property investment and management company in 1989 and was appointed Finance Director in 2003. Steve left Hawtin plc in June 2009. Steve is currently a partner of Quercus Capital LLP.

Commenting on the appointment Martin Warner, Chief Executive said "We are delighted to welcome someone of Stephen's calibre to Michelmersh Board, having impressed during his time as interim CFO. As the Company continues to move forward following the acquisition of Freshfield Lane Brickworks, we look forward to continuing working with him and gaining from his invaluable experience."
