Johnson Matthey Appoints New Non-Executive Director Johnson Matthey Plc is pleased to announce the appointment of ChristopherMottershead as a non-executive director of the company with effect from 27thJanuary 2015. Chris, aged 59, is currently Vice Principal, Research and Innovation, at King'sCollege London where he has worked since 2009. Prior to joining King's College,Chris had a 30 year career at BP, most recently as Global Advisor on EnergySecurity and Climate Change. Prior to this, he was Technology Vice Presidentfor the Global Gas, Power and Renewables businesses, and was also the technicalmanager for its North Sea exploration and production activities. Chris has an Applied Physics degree, an MSc in Cybernetics, is a CharteredElectrical Engineer, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Chris also serves as a non-executive director of the Carbon Trust, the FrancisCrick Institute Limited and Imanova Limited. He is chair of the TransportEnergy Task Force and a governor of King's College Hospital NHS FoundationTrust. There are no disclosures required in respect of Chris Mottershead pursuant toRule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the Financial Conduct Authority.
