Posting of Notice of General Meeting
The Board of Image Scan, specialists in the field of real-time 3D and 2D x-ray imaging for the Security and Industrial Inspection markets, announces that it will be posting a notice to shareholders today of a General Meeting to be held on Friday 11 April 2014 at 11 a.m. at the offices of Cantor Fitzgerald Europe, One Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, London EC14 5RD. Due to security arrangements in accessing the venue, attendees are asked to arrive at the building at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. The notice is available on the Company's website www.ish.co.uk
Subject to all resolutions being passed at the General Meeting, it is the intention of the Board to appoint William Mawer as Executive Chairman and CEO. Having given notice at the recent AGM the current Chairman, Brian Emslie, will stand down on the appointment of Mr Mawer. Mr Mawer has been working as a consultant to the Company for four months and the Board is confident that his appointment will significantly strengthen the Company at this time.
Mr Mawer brings considerable experience of the x-ray industry having worked for 13 years with London-listed Smiths Group plc. For most of that time he held senior executive positions in Smiths Detection, world leader in security x-ray technology. More recently he has acted in a consultancy capacity for a number of other advanced technology companies, providing input on strategy and business development. Mr Mawer has key strengths in product development and strategic planning. His experience in the x-ray security sector will be instrumental in supporting the development plans and driving forward the sales and marketing strategy.
The following further disclosures are required in respect of the appointment of William Richard Mawer, aged 55. Mr Mawer is currently a director of AVS Partners Limited, and was a director of Smiths Detection-Watford Ltd from 19 March 2003 to 20 January 2012.
There are no further disclosures required to be made pursuant to Schedule 2 (g) of the AIM Rules.
