Hardide PLC17 December 2007 Press Release 17 December 2007 Hardide plc ("Hardide" or "the Company") Appointment of Non-Executive Chairman Hardide plc (AIM:HDD), the provider of unique surface engineering technology, ispleased to announce the appointment of Robert Goddard to the Board of Hardideplc as Non-Executive Chairman with effect from 28 January 2008. A chartered engineer, Mr Goddard was on the executive board of Burmah Castrolplc and previously managed its worldwide fuels business and a substantialportion of its chemicals business. He subsequently joined Amberley Group PLC inNovember 2000 where he was Chief Executive, responsible for turning round andselling on its four speciality chemical subsidiaries, thereby enhancing theshare price substantially before leaving in 2002. More recently he has had avariety of advisory and turnaround assignments. He is also currently chairmanof a group developing a waste-to-energy business using innovative technology.
