GUS PLC09 June 2005 On 9 June 2005, Abacus Corporate Trustee Limited purchased 400,000 Ordinaryshares of 25p each in the Company as trustee of the GUS plc ESOP Trust at aprice of 865.7688 pence per share. Directors of the Company are potentialbeneficiaries of this ESOP and accordingly this share purchase is deemed toincrease their interests in the Ordinary share capital of the Company."
