Application for Additional Listing

Genus plc (LSE: GNS) today announces that an application has been made to the UK Listing Authority ('UKLA') and the London Stock Exchange ('LSE') for the admission of 20,079 new ordinary shares of 10p each ('Ordinary Shares') in Genus representing 0.03% of the issued Ordinary Share capital of Genus, in connection with the acquisition by Genus in April 2017 of the remaining 49% of Genus's subsidiary, In Vitro Brasil SA ('IVB'). The Ordinary Shares have been allotted to certain of the former shareholders and employees of IVB who have re-invested certain of their proceeds of sale in a subscription for the Ordinary Shares at a price per share equal to the average of the middle market price of Genus Ordinary Shares on the 3 days before the allotment.

It is expected that the 20,079 Ordinary Shares will be admitted to trading on the Official List on 5 July 2017. The shares will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinary Shares of the Company.
