Appointment of Finance Director
Futura Medical plc (AIM: FUM), the pharmaceutical group that develops innovative products for consumer healthcare, is pleased to announce thatΒ Derek Martin, who joined Futura as Financial Controller inΒ April 2007, has been appointedΒ to the Board of Futura asΒ Finance Director with immediate effect.Β
Derek Adrian Martin, age 47, is a chartered accountant with a breadth of experience gained across a number of sectors, including technology and retail,Β atΒ private and publicly quotedΒ companies of varying sizes.
Prior to joining Futura, Mr Martin was a financial controller at Thales.Β Β Between 2005 and 2007 he was financial controller at Links of LondonΒ Limited, the jewellery chain, beforeΒ its disposal to Folli Follie,Β and between 2001 and 2005 he was financial controller at Entuity Limited, aΒ USΒ software company. Mr Martin gained AIM experience in the role of financial controllerΒ at World Telecom plc, between 1996 and 2001,Β prior to the company's saleΒ to Torc TelecomΒ Limited.
