Board changes at esure Group plc

esure Group plc ("esure Group") announces today that Mike Evans is to step down from his position as a Non-executive Director on the esure Group Board.
Zoopla Property Group plc, of which Mike Evans is Chairman, has announced the completion of the acquisition of Ulysees Enterprises Limited ("uSwitch"), the price comparison website. Both the esure Group Board and Mike recognise that esure Group's ownership of Gocompare.com may give rise to potential conflicts of interest. Mike has therefore decided to step down as a Director of esure Group plc once a successor has been appointed. It is envisaged that the successor would take over Mike's role as chairman of the Remuneration Committee, with an appointment expected by early September 2015.
In the meantime, it has been agreed by Mike and the esure Group Board that Mike will excuse himself from all esure Group Board discussions in respect of Gocompare.com and will not receive Gocompare.com related Board materials.
