2020 Annual General Meeting ("AGM") and Timing of Final Results for the Year Ended 31 December 2019
In line with current legislation, the Company announces that its AGM will take place at 2pm on 30 June 2020. The AGM Notice and Form of Proxy will be posted on 5 June and a copy will be available at www.dfcapital-investors.com. The AGM will take place as a closed meeting in line with the COVID-19 guidelines.
The Company gives notice to shareholders however, that it anticipates that legislation will be passed in short order enabling AGMs to be delayed by up to three months in light of the COVID-19 public health crisis. Should such legislation be passed in advance of 30 June 2020, the Company intends to postpone the AGM to a date in August in the hope that such a delay would enable shareholders to attend in person and for the Company to be in a position to give greater clarity with respect to the on-going banking licence application, a process that can run for up to 12 months and which was initiated in August 2019.
Additionally, the Board is pleased to confirm that the final results for the year ended 31 December 2019 will be published no later than 26 June 2020, by separate announcement.
Accordingly, should the Company confirm that the 30 June AGM is postponed, shareholders will be notified of an August AGM date, at which the Company intends to present its final results for the year ended 31 December 2019, alongside a trading and strategic update.
