Director Appointment and Board Committee Changes

Dublin, 17 December 2019 | Dalata Hotel Group plc ("Dalata" or "the Company"), the largest hotel operator in Ireland, with a growing presence in the United Kingdom, is pleased to announce that Mr Shane Casserly has been appointed to the Board as Corporate Development Director; his appointment will be effective from 1 January 2020.

A graduate of University College Cork and Chartered Accountant, Mr Casserly joined Dalata in March 2014 as Head of Strategy and Development and has been instrumental in driving the Company's growth through acquisition and development activity in Ireland and the UK. He previously worked as Head of Development at Jurys Doyle Hotel Group plc and held senior positions with Ion Equity, Microsoft Europe and Musgrave Group.

The Company also announces a number of changes to its Committee structures and individual Non-executive Directors responsibilities which will also take effect from 1 January 2020.

A Committee with responsibility for oversight of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) matters at the Company, has been formed and will be Chaired by Independent Non-Executive Director Elizabeth McMeikan. Ms McMeikan will be joined on the Committee by Robert Dix and Stephen McNally.

John Hennessy will assume the role of Chair of the Nomination Committee and Alf Smiddy will continue as Senior Independent Director and Non-executive Director with responsibility for workforce engagement. Elizabeth McMeikan will join the Remuneration Committee.
