JAMES CROPPER PLC (THE 'COMPANY')

DIRECTORS' SHAREHOLDINGS

The Company announces that today the Trustees of the James Cropper PLC Profit Sharing Scheme ('the Scheme') have transferred beneficial ownership of 227 ordinary shares of 25 pence each in the Company ('Ordinary Shares') to Isabelle Maddock, a director of the Company.

The shares relate to an award of Ordinary Shares to the employees of the Company on 07 December 2009 under the rules of the Scheme at a price of £1.322 per share.

As a result, Isabelle Maddock's beneficial interest in the Company is 9,950 Ordinary Shares, which represents 0.1% of the issued share capital of the Company.
