Front Loading Storage Modules

Concurrent Technologies Plc (the "Company"), a world leading specialist in the design and manufacture of high-end embedded computer products for critical applications in the defence, aerospace, telecommunications, transportation, scientific and industrial markets, is pleased to announce the release of two XMC (Express Mezzanine Card) adapter boards. The boards provide a choice of removable front loading storage modules, suitable for use with XMC host boards including VME, VXS, VPX™ and CompactPCI®.

Both boards are designed for applications that require front panel removable drive capability particularly for customers within defense, surveillance and security who must regularly remove classified data from their systems, but also in scientific and telecommunications markets for transferring data. Application examples include military data capture units, database management, or local system storage, all of which are major areas of focus for our customers given the proliferation of and protection of data.

The XM 600/001 is an XMC adapter designed to carry a single CompactFlash® card. The XM 650/001 is an XMC adapter designed to carry a single Solid-State-Disk (SSD) drive. For harsher environments, especially in defense, extended temperature versions are available.
