Significant Contract Win
UK Genesis Vehicle Conversion Order Win
Clean Air Power (AIM: CAP), the developer of Dual-Fuel™ combustion technology that enables heavy-duty diesel engines to operate on a combination of diesel and natural gas, is pleased to announce a new order for its UK subsidiary to be delivered during the first six months of 2012.
Following a successful trial of Clean Air Power's Genesis Edge Dual-Fuel™ system, a major logistics company has ordered 27 units, worth around £0.7m.
The Genesis Edge product is Clean Air Power's retro-fit Dual-Fuel™ offering that can be installed on customers' existing vehicles. These 27 units are expected to reduce CO2 emissions and fuel costs in comparison with traditional diesel vehicles.
The Company's Dual-Fuel™ technology is also offered integrated into manufacturers' vehicles on an OEM basis. Clean Air Power recently announced that a European OEM product with Clean Air Power's technology integrated within its engine was set to commence and confirms that production has now started.
Commenting on the order, John Pettitt, CEO of Clean Air Power, said:
"We are delighted to have won this order after a successful trial. It is the largest single Genesis Edge order we have ever received and demonstrates that sales momentum behind our Dual-Fuel™ technology is growing. This order, from such a high profile and industry leading organisation is beneficial not only to Clean Air Power but will also deliver financial and environmental benefits to our customer."
