Bloomsbury Publishing PLC24 November 2005 24 November 2005 APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Bloomsbury Publishing Plc today announces the appointment of Jeremy Wilson (56)as a non-executive director with immediate effect. Mr Wilson is the Head ofFinancial Institutions at Barclays Bank, which he joined in 1972, with globalresponsibility for the bank's financial institution clients. During his career at Barclays, Mr Wilson has held a variety of senior managementpositions, both in the UK and abroad, responsible for major corporate andinstitutional clients. He has several external interests including appointmentsin the educational field. Commenting on the appointment, Nigel Newton, Chairman of Bloomsbury said: "Jeremy Wilson brings considerable experience to our board and we expect tobenefit particularly from his City and banking background. Given his career atBarclays, he has a strong understanding of the requirements of a growingbusiness and wide international contacts." Mr Wilson brings the number of Bloomsbury non-executive directors to four, outof a total board of seven.
