Antofagasta PLC04 April 2006 For immediate release Update: Recommended cash offer for Tethyan Copper Company Limited ("Tethyan") London, 4 April 2006 - Antofagasta PLC ("Antofagasta") confirms that the closingdate for its recommended cash offer for Tethyan has been extended, such that itwill now close at 7pm, Sydney Australia time on 28 April 2006.
