Aminex PLC21 February 2006 21 FEBRUARY 2006 AMINEX PLC APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTORS Aminex PLC ("Aminex"), the oil and gas company listed in London and Dublin,today announces the appointment of two directors effective immediately. Michael Pereira-Rego has been appointed Exploration Director. A geologist, hejoined Aminex in 1998 as resident manager for Aminex's Dachnoye field inTatarstan and then became Exploration Manager for Russia. In 2001, he wasappointed Aminex Group Exploration manager. Prior to joining Aminex, Mr Regoworked for BP and for Lasmo. He is a Fellow of the Geological Society. Andrew Windham has been appointed a non-executive director. A lawyer byprofession, he worked for a number of years for Clyde Petroleum plc where hebecame Legal Director and Company Secretary. In recent years, Mr Windham hasbeen the Commercial Director of Energy Africa Limited and since its takeover byTullow Oil plc has acted for that enlarged group as a legal and commercialconsultant. He is a non-executive director of Desire Petroleum PLC. Commenting on this announcement, Peter Elwes, Aminex Chairman, said: "I am verypleased to welcome both Michael Rego and Andrew Windham to our Board.
