Group Chair Appointment and Forthcoming Retirement

Accent is delighted to announce the appointment of a new Chair (designate) to the Boards of Accent Group Limited and Accent Housing Limited, following a competitive recruitment process.

Nigel Wright has been appointed as Group Chair (designate) from 1 May 2025.

Nigel brings a breadth of leadership experience spanning both the private and not-for-profit sectors. From 2020 to 2024, he served as Group Chair of Progress Housing Group, and he has held a range of non-executive and committee chair positions in social housing over the last nine years. Nigel's executive career was rooted in the financial services sector, where he led through periods of regulatory change, strategic transformation, and the elevation of the customer voice in governance.

Nigel will succeed to the Board Chair position on the retirement of the current Chair, Tom Miskell, following a period of transition, which will commence immediately.

Tom Miskell, who has served as Accent's Chair since 2015, has led the organisation through a period of significant transformation, strengthening governance and reinforcing Accent's strategic focus on customer experience, resilience and sustainable growth.
