Yesterday, the Chamber of Mining of Ecuador presented, before the President of the Constitutional Court, a request for an excuse regarding the participation of the Constitutional Judge Dr. Ramiro Avila Santamaria in the process of the Mining Consultation.

The reason is, according to the petition, that Ávila previously sponsored or represented cases that are related to this process.

The excuse is a legal mechanism to ensure that the judge acts impartially.

"The fact that Dr. Avila is currently a judge and before being a judge has sponsored cases that are directly related to the matter submitted to constitutional review, making it difficult to guarantee that impartiality," says the Chamber of Mining. (JS)

In fact only yesterday, I had to tell RS5 and Novice off for being facetious about other people's money. For some on here (maybe you?) there is an enormous amount riding on this decision (kithcen sink and all that). But to be fair, one has had since 27th May to deliberate what to do. So one only has oneself to blame if the whole shooting match goes down in flames. Seen it many times before. Those who lose - simply stop posting and one never hears from them again - wouldn't expect them to lament their woes on a public forum I guess.

Those who are swimming in dosh - ram it down everyone's throat, too. That's SM for you.

Let's look behind the figures today, eh:
2,431,823 sold. 1,199,916 bought. Ehmm - over a million shares disposed of, which is why the stock has dropped 4%.
Now, if you're a bitty player, it's £40 on your £1000. Even you can swallow that eh?

But some people on here have....wait for it.... MILLIONS of the little feckers! And for every million shares, a 4% drop is a lot of fecking money down the tubes, isn't it grandad? [12,000 green drinking vouchers down the khazi.

****** aside for a minute. If you read what I have said before, you will understand that I am a LTH and as I have said time and time again, this will come good and I will be in it when everyone goes:"whoosh", "hang on tight", "boooooom" and whatever the ostriches said all those months ago, when it didn't go boooom, whoooosh or whatever. Meanwhile I am enjoying shorting this stock now and if you paid any attention to the trades over the last 48hrs, you will see where, when and for how much.
Please try and keep up, it's not that difficult, or are you in that deep, you are actually paralysed into taking no action, like several on here.

Live life, take a gamble, sell, buy, sell, buy.........the rich get richer and the rest lose money :).

Try this instead:

Youve sold today @ around 27p, yes?
Wait for the results next Monday first thing. If they are bad news, you are safe as houses and the money is in the bank.
If good news, the stock will rise say for the sake of argument - 20% monday am.
Let's say that by CoP on Friday, this stock is around 22p ish. Then by lunchtime on Monday after you've had breakfast and gone for a jog, the SP is only 5p higher - et voila - 27p!!
You then buy back in mon brave! Back to business.....what's not to like?

Please don't join the ostrich family. Have some understanding of what is going on here, for your sake not ours.
Look - since May 27th when the 'news' broke, (courtesy of cosmiclightning), there was a plethora of manic (almost hysterical) outbursts about "it 'll be alright on the night". I have two observations to make on that:
1. I genuinely believe it will (but the caveat is........when?).
2. It is essential that both sides of the manic attack - are heard. Those who simply stick their heads in the sand (ostriches) and come what may, don't want to read anything other than, 'storm in a teacup', 'back to 39p in the blink of an eye' , and to add flavour to their argument - started being disingenuous about anyone who dissented.
All some of the non ostriches are trying to do is uncover as much of what is going on in the background and discussing it....BAD as well as GOOD, so minority shareholders like yourself perhaps (no wish to be rude), can make a calculated decision on what to do. I offered 4 options about a week ago about what to do.
The ostriches do themselves no favours by slating our comments and trying to make us out to be either derampers or the bad guys. We want a balanced view - the end.

This friday at 10am Ecuador time, a decision will be made regarding the referendum. In itself it has no legs (long term), the countrys needs are far greater than those protesters in them thar hills) but I believe the CC will allow for further debate on the application. Because of this, the 'problem' (which is uncertainty), will be prolonged and the markets hate uncertainty. This is why the SP is sinking.
Ecuador (Quito( is currently 6hrs behind the UK. Therefore the Market won't be able to assess the Stock until Monday opening time. Over the weekend, the news will leak out. Bad news and the SP will open below 20p - no doubt about it. Good news and I estimate an immediate 20% rise of the SP, leading onto a continuos rise throughout next week back to where it was 3 weeks ago.

Make a decision - live by it - this is stocks and shares at its best....no pain....no gain. Good luck.
