Can anyone tell me the benefit of scrambling for a placing last night [as a PI]?
The SP is below the placing, so WTF? Why should such an action stimulate a response from a pi when normally they would never consider 'topping up'.
So NM dilutes the company by 0.5% and then the market spanks his a-ss by dropping the stock a further 8%. Thanks NM, thanks xx

So over a period of roughly 12 hours, NM has milked investors for $30m. Nice one NM.
All that froth over rushing to buy when voila - you can get it cheaper on the open market.
NM is waking up today thinking - that was easy...$30m simply by offering an 8% discount on ....fresh air! You couldn't make it up.
And there are PI's out there thinking smug that they have their allocation ???? WTF.

I notice from the link you sent that the brokers are expecting a JV or takeover of this minnow and a doubling or trebling of the SP as a consequence. This would tie in nicely with BHP keeping quiet during these shennanigans as they watch from the sidelines, sharpening their claws. I only hope BHP are as good as they think because the chinese are coming......the chinese are coming.......

Copperpot- if one followed your advice from the start, they maybe would have 'popped' in every other year or so and subsequently found that SOLG have done exactly the square root of f^"k all!
Iceberg - I hold half a mill shares. I would suggest the overwhelming majority of PI's here want in and out ASAP.
Shares is gambling, nothing more, nothing less. Gamblers don't sit at the casino table for years on end waiting for that magic 'hand' to be dealt.
I'm in until the Franco deal is wrapped up. Better still, I hope and pray (you like praying) this lame duck get's bought out for anything over 50p and you can colour me 'gone'.

Colonel - it wears one down.....Cascabels been running since early 2013....7 years. And in that time the SP has been up and down like a *****'s drawers! Started @ 3p then down to 1p at its lowest and the highest was 45p.
Personally, for me, the biggest delay has been, without question..the following in this order:
Ecuadorian bureaucracy - deliberations over mining rights.
Ecuadorian politics - rioting over governmental changes.
NM fending off any JV approaches or hostile takeovers(citi).
NM taking this to production all on his lonesome.

2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019........

And now we have the latest 'batch' of delays:
Covid physical - (why they can't get ONE Franco rep onto site to seal the deal - confuses me).
Covid economy - Ecuador begging the IMF for money to stay afloat).
General Election (firming up mining referendums!). Feb 2021.

2020...2021...2022...2023...2024...2025...

12 years will have passed before an ounce of gold sees daylight and the stock rockets....

There are lots of ifs and buts, it might be bigger, it might be smaller, a minority share holding is never equal a majority pro rata.
But t hats the current price value...
Personally I have never seen a resource ever reach this and can't see how this would even be a fair value.
We've seen this kind of market madness many times on AIM and it never ends well.
What's worse are experienced folks making half true comments to try and lull novice investors in at this value...."

Since when is Mkt Cap reflective of the prospective value of the asset?

Can't recall reading NMCM's AISC for gold @ Telfor. I'm guessing it is around a conservative $700 (US)/ Oz.
Assuming:
10M Oz Gold @ Havieron.
Spot price for Gold: $1600.
AISC: $700.
Profit on every Oz of gold: $900.
10MOz: $9Bn. [£7Bn].
NCM owns 75%.
GGP: 25% of £7Bn: £1.75Bn
GGP shares approx: 4 billion.
Each share worth: 43p.

That price will be between 15p and 30p dependent on the volume and quality of the gold.

All eyes will then shift to Scally - and this WILL be a game changer. Havieron is the appetizer.
