Ezhik: maybe a topdrive reduces risk with well deepening. The pipes are only 30 ft long (10 metres?) . Maybe the well engineer spat and said: you need a god damn top drive!!

they reported a series of transactions in the afternoon that completed at 11:00 AM. Thats not necessarily when those transactions were started - could have been a couple of days ago

Considering the SP trendline, I dont it could absorb 4 million shares sold in quick succession. If they were sold at a discount surely it would be bigger than that unless it was done over a few days. Well whatever the transaction was, today was a downer

Robotics isn't a big corporation, this is probably one of their biggest orders in years. Robotics is the equivalent of ZEN in a way - a one man fiefdom. I think this was exploiting ZEN and their lack of oil and gas knowledge

Anyway lets hope for the best. Probably their field engineers know what to do

Before that there were new electric pumps, but that can be classed as replacement capex expenditure, not development capex.

regarding the SOCAR contract , I dont think it will be cancelled. I think its intent was to force a company to develop the fields. The fields were profitable but declining and a company could have just sat there. ZEN can point to all the capex they have spent on this shiny rig.

the top drive is essentially an electric motor that travels up and down the derrick. Dont you need some sort of track to guide it ? I think there is more work involved than half a day. . It depends on the derrick I suppose

what GLR has is 20% grade Zinc ore grade at Star Zinc, albeit 14 months supply. On the other hand, the surface assets at Kabwe contain an estimated 5% zinc grade. And they are surface assets and harder to grade.

Dont think CB is wrong to say that a refinery would jump at the chance to take Star Zinc ore. GLR is not the poor relation to JLP that some people on the JLP board think :lol:

Still the numbers dont compute. Iran is like losing 1 million barrels a day with full sanctions. This hypothetical company will produce 10k bod at best
