LSE is the biggest winner, why you think they let it go on so much?

I run a discord group for balanced due diligence research on stocks, but originally we set it up as a website. Now we have a strict ban on abuse, but in the early days when a well known LSE abusive poster joined the website, our hit rate went through the roof.

As what we do is a not for profit community, we didnt need the hit rate so kept integrity and stopped any abuse in its tracks, but I LSE etc, its easy money letting it flow.

For me, I'm not to concerned as they stated "still on target" for year of year per month Oz target, but I do feel it might have/might still cause, some anxeity to potential new investors.

Thing with GCAT is everything is a bit upside down compared to the usual junior and think the market is still getting its head around that, even though the concept is well used, a lot of investors don't hunt deep enough to work out value etc. Surface figures can show no real profits of note, because they are being used to upgrade an old mine so that it can make a lot larger future profits. Now you could as I do see the big value in that. No 50% lost on aJV partner, no massive mine build costs and 2 year waits while its all built, some existing JORC ready to be expanded OR you can just see no real profits as yet so not worth buying.

Oddly, a lot of investors are more than happy to pump there cash into some juniors that stand a small chance of ever making it to development.

There is lots to look forward to here with GCAT but I guess there is still several unanwsered questions which leaves a lot of risk on the table for investors.

A big is why was only roughly 1.2k oz Gold sales made in Q1 22. Its a big question as yes, they mentioned that they had to reduce production to upgrade the operation and of course the Heap Leech figures will be more aparent in Q2, but that doesn't account for the fact if you look at amount of dirt processed, the gold should have been nearer 3k I believe, so why did we sell less? I can only think of 2 possible answers.

1: No buyer
2: Lower than expected Oz per ton processed.

I find the 1st possible reason to seem unlikely as in todays market, how can you not be able to sell your gold? Which leaves you with number 2 as potentially the main reason.

There could be a totally different reason, but for all the amazing info given about Q1, and make no mistake that was a a good in depth report, so well done Robbie, that unaswered question, along with admitting more money will be needed, will make some investors wait before buying.

For me, I'd imagine selling of in stages/bits would prove potentially easier although to do that you might need to de-merge some parts.

As for the Hydrogen, very much a future fuel to me. Long way to go until the markets really demand it, but so many uses, including heavy plant.

In fairness, I know KOD has AGAIN dropped back a bit and that can be frustrating but some wider GLOBAL context is needed here too. Its not an AIM thing, almost all stocks have tanked since recession and hyper inflation fears started. In many ways KOD so far has held up better than most.

Even within its own sector you have other recent rises falling back more than KOD, just take Bradda Lithium (not saying its bad, I don't mind it), but nearly 18p down to under 11p.

Thats just stocks, always has been, cycles etc. One persons disspear is anothers opportunity.

While I do agree with LWs logic in relation to the term sheet, what matters more to me as a long term holder is 1: Gold in the ground & 2: Management Team.

Number 1 is increasing and that makes me very happy and number 2 I feel are good. Last years drills and how it was managed was really good imo. I've seen and been in many a explorer but that was one of the most polished drill campaigns I've seen in a long time.

So yes, I'd love a higher SP right now, but truth is I wasn't planning to sell now anyway, so while nice on paper, its more about set up, potential, management etc and what that could mean 2 or 3 years from here, which at present I feel makes Cora an attractive investment.

Understandable that whenever a placing occurs, investors can feel down however some decent positives to take too imo.

The placing price wasnt to bad. The company could easily have done a few months earlier for a lot cheaper, gaining them more shares per buck. To me, this highlights a good show of confidence in the price and possible future price.

As placement was largely internal, your usual churn once new shares hit the market and get sold off is a lot less likely.

The company is funded for a bit now so thats out of the way for a while. BA is well known for his raises (nearly 800% dilutions via raises since he took charge) and the company has no income, so until it does, or a JV starts paying the bills, he was going always going to need another raise. Its done now and better to be done now so not in way when updated fs comes out etc.

Drills = (hopefully if go well), bigger resources. Bigger resources create news flows and potential increased profits. 3mil spent now could be the best 3 mil spent in terms of future returns.

However you seem to have got a little confused I think. The DFS is now fully funded for Prem, not everything else. Kod also has a fully funded DFS as its due soon, however it really isnt a p issing in the wind contest. I hope both do well.

Its nice to see some urgency with this one. Theres a lot of other Hydrogen projects (companys) out there who take 12 months to arrange one meeting, so refreashing that Oracle appearing to be pressing ahead with focus.

2nd Slams post. A very informative KOD following there.

In terms of the SP drift, I think many factors will play into it, but none suggest anything is wrong as such. If you look over most explorers, they go through up and down phases, bit like as seen in the Lassendo Curve, although usually at slightly different points than that curve suggests.

With KOD, after the license was approved 6 ish months ago, you then get the reality RNS in terms of how long things take. Some holders get bored and move on as news slows down for a while, others never intended to hold past the license news etc (old classic buy rumour sell on news). Plus, when a SP goes higher, its natural to view that all time high, or recent time high as the benchmark for what the SP should be at, but often that high is on the back of a hype spike. So many examples of this. It doesnt mean anything is wrong, it just means a few got a bit overexcited to early, expecting a producing mine or JV deal in weeks after the license. That again happens a lot.

So my answer, is nothing bad happened, just a natural stage in the timeline between explorer to producer.

The thing is, as with life, so many varibles.

Some might argue, better the devil you know.

Just because its Military rule by force, not by democratic support, it doesn't mean that a voted in democratic candidate would be better. They might be, but equally they might not. They might be so pro mining its unreal, or they might for a change put there people first and try to stop outside influences rinsing there land of its resources, while they stay one of the poorest countries in the world and nationalise all mining. Now, the latter is unlikely due to skill sets etc, however it would be wrong to assume anything.

It could be a good comparison, although its hard to tell if some have been. We don't know or ever will if they might have got more investors (PIs and funds) if located elsewhere or not.

When I dont talk investors Im not refering to JV deals etc. I am referring to buys and sells of shares as thats what riases or drops a price.

The final bit I guess would include what happens after today. As it stands, while not great there its far from stuck in a unworking goverment stuck in a massive civil war. Military rule is by its nature ruling by force over support. If it was support based you would just vote them in. However as seen in Ukraine, sometimes the people fight back, other times they are to scared to as seen in other countries. If things stay pretty calm (for Mali) I cant see it changing anything. If of course it esculates and turns into something worse, then that might have an effect.

Its a good question and a hard one to know the answer for.

Does military rule stop mining happening? My view is it doesn't, or not by default anyway, however how does KODs share price go up? Its not the diggers forcing the price up but investors buying the stock. Military rule can be unstable and put off investors, thus although military rule might not affect your ability to mine, it might affect what your shares are worth. The problem is, its hard to measure by how much.

Another big varible is can you export what you have mined? Now at present the current sanctions should in theory mean KOD couldn't export anything that comes out of the ground as ECOWAS (all the countries which surround it), have put an export ban on Mali. So you can still mine, but not export. Thing is here, how much is that getting implemented? I've not heard of other producers in Mali having issues so maybe its not being policed? Likewise by the time KOD starts producing, a lot will likely have changed, so chances are those sanctions wont exist or may be very different.

Lastly, whats the cost of military rule? Currently Mali owes Wagner contractors a reported 10mil a month for its services. Doesn't sound a lot but Mali is one of the worlds poorest countrys. In Sudan they couldn't pay and so Wagner took mining companys land/resources as payment. However even under non military rule they might still be employed, so again a hard varible to measure.

There is plenty of countries where its worked fine (for the companies not the country) and plenty when it went totally wrong.

Its just an unknown. Markets tend to not like unknowns, but time changes everything.
