Been watching CTEC for a while. Seem like a solid company with great future potential to me. Bought in (a lttile too soon)on the fall at 225, but I have every confidence we will establish a base back above 2.50 in the next few days and climb back from here. Looking oversold at the moment.

Diver69, I bought back into HUR today. Just my honest opinion, but I do think this could be a safe solid punt with plenty of upside (certainly in the long term) but even over the short to medium term too. Don't know what to make here of RKH... I'm holding for the longer term, but I have reduced my holding by 50%. GLA

Someone better informed is accumulating this stock in the background. Check out the share trades and take a look at those single 166K buys on the back of all those smaller PI sales. This deal will go through... no question!

Still heavily invested here and happy to wait for my 182p per share... although I suspect we will see a hike to this (either through other bids / a raised bid / and / or Apple settlement and sale of MIPS). Personally, I only see up-side here and at 166.50 these shares are a steal. I have topped up again today. For all those happy to be patient, simply block out the background noise, wait a few weeks, and reap the rewards! GLA :-)

MM's up to their usual tricks. I'm very confident. Have faith and watch the SP ride back upward into the close as the shorters exit stage left! Ha...ha...

6% shorts to close by my reckoning... only way is up! And currently still at 169.50! This is a no brainer for an easy "minimum" 5% gain by mid November. Considering the risks buying and selling on the AIM market... I think this is as close to a bargain as I've ever seen!

Maru, Warren is a man in a million... and what a lot of folk forget is that he was also a wealthy individual before he began trading (which usually helps) His biography is well worth a read. I agree 100% that if you take the long term view all "should" come good, but... and it's a BIG BUT... there may very well be a market correction on the horizon, and I - for one - do not intend holding shares if and when it happens. (I don't have Warren's millions to play with and cannot afford to sit on long term losses). Even Warren accepted that he could "possibly" have made more money by selling out and buying back in during times of market volatility. It just wasn't his style. I take the view that it's best to buy in at the lows and ride these to a mid point, and I agree with afrc that 260 is a good level to buy. My current average is 268. I plan on holding until we reach 300 (pending no disasters) and if the news flow remains good, then I will hold until low 330 before selling. My previous average was 320 and I sold at a good profit, but if I had held back then... I would now be sitting on a significant longer term loss. I prefer to see blue across my holdings wherever possible - I sleep easier at night :-) By the way, I honestly don't blame the MM's. They're here to make money. I understand how the system works... it's just frustrating at times when you see a good solid company being "played" down by the MM's and shorters. There really is no other good reason for the SP to be down here at these levels.

Ha...ha... I know the feeling. I'm feeling equally frustrated with another share right now... good things come to those who wait... apparently... ;-)

After careful analysis and plenty of research buying and selling across a variety of companies... I can honestly say that playing the stock market is no better than spinning a roulette wheel. Forget what you know... what you've read and what "anyone" (so called experts / brokers or otherwise) tells you... If the MM's want a share to rise and succeed, it will. If they don't... it won't - simple as that. How you know what the MM's want to do is just guesswork & you can pretty much guarantee that they will try their hardest to advantage II's and disadvantage PI's at every turn. I've been invested in shares that have been ramped... buys galore and yet the MM's have dropped the SP until most PI's left the building. I've seen sells reported as buys... buys reported as sells, artificial tree shakes, falls on bogus news reports, rises on bogus news reports, suspect spreads and lock outs on trading... etc...etc... list faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar too long to mention... Can you still make money? Yes! But A) You need to be very very lucky and B) You'll need the patience of a saint, very low blood pressure, a strong heart, and the steely determination of a gladiator, otherwise the experience will simply serve to stress you out so much it will shorten your life in the process.

I have bought and sold VM. shares a few times since late last year. For whatever reason the MM's seem to want to play with these shares and overall sentiment for UK banks doesn't help one bit (which is the only reason I trade regularly instead of hold). However, the fundamentals here remain the same and whenever the SP gets down below 270 I buy back in - sit back - wait for the inevitable rise to above 300 and sell out yet again for a profit. It really is a no brainer! Fundamentals: VM is A) Financially stable & profitable. B) A "new" challenger bank who - unlike the older established UK banks - will NOT be liable for financial penalties and fines as a consequence of historic bad practices. C) Wins award for best customer satisfaction. D) Offers a range of industry leading products and services. If you were looking for a safe way of making profit in the short to medium term with very low risk, then what's not to like at these price levels? The one and only issue I have with VM is this: that the management do not shout their companies benefits from the rooftops and continuously labour the point to the thickies out there that this bank should not be lumped in with the likes of of RBS and Lloyds. If they worked on this - then the SP would never find itself down at these levels in the first place!

I have bought into VM a few times over the past twelve months and "always" returned a sound profit whenever I have come to sell on. To be honest, I cannot believe a premium name, profit making, highly recommended share is trading this low again... What's not to love and where is the risk? Unlike most other established UK banks... they have no dirty laundry, prudent management, growing market share, and an excellent customer friendly record! I now have over £110,000 invested here - at an average price of £3.01 per share and am looking forward to another pay day when it finally arrives... Based on average broker analysis, I would be happy with a climb anywhere up to £3.45 Easily achievable as soon as momentum builds and the shorters p*ss off elsewhere

Hi Laguerre, I'm out :-( I have been away for the past few days and my automated sell cut in... didn't expect the SP to rise so quickly. To be honest I would have rather stayed in as I feel there's much more to come. I will keep an eye on this one and perhaps buy back in again once we get some updates... My first post here. Made a 10132 share purchase just now. Been watching this share for a while and feel that the company have a lot to offer. I think a deal will be struck with a third party and things will gradually improve - together with an SP re-bound. If I had bought in higher... I would be topping up right about now to reduce any short-term losses as I did with SXX. Keeping faith is a challenge at times like these, but a discipline well worth learning IMHO... as I know from personal experience (We all saw SXX bounce back from the brink this a.m.)
