Is the news "short" like you?

HL have been NT only for buys so far. Haven't had any opportunity to top-up this morning Smoke and mirrors - "as usual"

Sorry, for "bond conversions" - read "sells" by our former large holder... I - for one - will be opening a bottle of bubbly to celebrate his final closure!

There is "always" a rounding up of trades throughout the trading day. This usually occurs at 16.35 or thereabouts. Just the system balancing the books of sells and buys. There were some later reported large sells though - probably the last bond conversions "we all hope!"

Yes... popped up on my screen first thing yesterday too. Not very professional... although there again... neither are most of the spoof ads this site seems plagued with too... hardly inspires confidence in LSE :-(

Great interview and one of the most honest appraisals of the current system and its failings for small investors I have heard in recent times. Congratulations PJ and Share Talk for having the conviction to say what has needed to be said for far too long! Change is needed - and needed urgently. Just like the "old" banking system... we hopefully will one day look back and wonder how they ever got away with it?

Don't know if this is true / false / or idle speculation... but could possibly be the reason for the sell off: https://twitter.com/ugodre/status/998308773558194176 Hint of a large fund raise in the pipeline and the traders all exit stage left...

I'll get "genuinely" excited once RH has no more toys to throw out of his pram... there again, maybe even he has finally realised that he can make more money by allowing his investment to ride instead of selling off at a discount... but who knows?

LOL! :-) Dave and I both singing from the same hymn sheet... who would have guessed!?!?!?! Roll on Monday... because... if that's not a great omen... I don't know what is? GLA :-)

Down to 7.85 and likely lower in days and weeks to come. A slow climb down and a corresponding rising SP will accelerate the closure of more shorts over the coming weeks I hope... then IQE can see genuine market appraisal for its future potential.

A) Another contract RNS lands and the SP will spike (yet again!) Indeed, report of another larger Merck type contract will even consolidate the SP at a higher level. B) "Always" potential buy out / merger interest from a larger player on the horizon (especially at this lower SP) C) Trading History! (small share volume & many shares "firmly" held and accumulated by investors like me.) If you have any doubts about the first two positives... take a look at the recent share history and tell me why a buy in at low 6's is a bad idea. Having "profitably" traded up to 20% of my holding on the 5 most recent spikes and used those profits to buy back in larger volume at lower levels (with a "current" new average of 6.19) I can tell you that I have every faith new investors will make money short, medium or long term at current SP levels. AIMHO / DYOR And... before the de-rampers descend with a host of excuses for not investing... Unlike those that continually talk the SP down, I "AM" invested here at 6.19 average. Do I worry the SP may go lower? NO... for the simple reason that it has "always" historically risen back with a vengeance after the MM's have had their fun. Again... no ramping intended... simply check the PYC share chart and see for yourself. Unlike those BB posters with an agenda here - share charts do NOT tell porkies.

Peter, Google, HL and many other sites list the closing SP at the bell which is 4.30pm UK time. However... some other sites - including LSE continue to report after the official close - thus registering late reported trades which affect the closing prices raising them upward or downward accordingly. These late trades "will" be reported by Google, HL etc on the next trading day open though, which is why the SP sometimes suddenly either jumps or drops on open. :-)

In what other business TODAY would this be allowed to happen? I'm taking screen grabs, because I'm convinced that the stock market traders are the next Banker miss selling fiasco who will be paying out Private Investors for their current dirty practices for years and years to come!

Jointhedots, Fair comment. Sorry - no ramp intended. Just my honest opinion. I have been watching and reading up on this share with interest for just over a year. I finally invested last month as I felt the SP had truly bottomed out as a result of stable production rates & stabilising regional politics, against a rising oil price. Against the usual metrics of risk and reward on AIM I feel comfortable holding here and remain hopeful of future prospects... but - as you say - risks obviously remain. GLA :-)

Whilst I appreciate that LTH's have a "longstanding" and genuine beef with management, from a relatively new investor's perspective: this company is profitable and yet the SP is stupidly undervalued. Unless the market wakes up and re-rates this company soon... it is highly likely IMHO that true value will be reflected via a take-over offer. Either way... the SP realistically has only one direction of travel from these silly lows. Reminded me of another company I have followed for the past year: Virgin Money... same Market MO: Market consistently undervalue the share, then reluctantly re-rate when an offer comes in - valuing the company where it should have been all along! GLA :-)

Dr J Millen interviews well and presents a great case for further investment from PI's as well as further investment in the services of the company by prospective clients (new & existing). Easy to understand why the SP is doing well of late. If we close Tuesday above 6.65, then the established rise in SP since 5th April continues. I like graphs - they don't have an agenda." GLA :-)

Dave... No need to fret here unless you're going short, or haven't yet bought back in... For the rest of us who are invested... it's a bank holiday weekend and the sun is shining... next week will see another steady climb in SP and potentially could even be another RNS... Onward and upward :-)

Yawn.... Take a pencil and draw a line along the mid points on the LSE Graph from the 5th April. If YOUR line (Dave) is still heading downwards I suggest you urgently book in with your optician ;-)
