D-Geeman, you don't need to look that far. Just look at Petrofac last year. Suspended for exactly the same reasons in May and shares restored in June after accounts published.

Seems like suspension will begin on 1st. We'd have received a RNS this morning if it was going to begin tomorrow at 7am.

Thanks Ice, yes that's all understood but other individuals in the last few days have a different view and seem to think suspension will take place at 1630 on the 30th April. I'm sure we'll get a RNS tomorrow which will clarify.

So which is it? End of the day tomorrow or Wednesday end of day?

I think if suspension was tomorrow we'd have had a RNS today so perhaps Rock8 is right. RNS tomorrow morning announcing suspension on Wednesday at close of play...

Mumbo, I dont think anyone has suggested the shares will be suspended for a sale to go through. Only due to FY24 accounts ts not being ready on time.

I think it's clear some of the shorts will remain through suspension. Theres no way theyll all close by the end of play tomorrow. The positive news is that MW have effectively halved their position in the last month and hopefully we'll see more reductions in the next couple of days.

The only reason WG are going in to suspension is because the FY24 accounts won't be ready on time. Once they are ready and published suspension will end unless as Surin said WG accept a bid from Sidara.

Ice, so effectively 1630 tomorrow for PIs which leaves us one more day to buy or sell.

BD, I think you're right regarding suspension. Having read the RNS again it seems the suspension will begin close of play at 1630 tomorrow.

Does anyone know for sure?

It makes sense for a counter bid to arrive in suspension otherwise the price is likely to spike massively on an offer price from Apollo for example of 50p.

JO, this is what concerns me. If WG believe 35p represents the best option for shareholders then the accounts when released can't be good.

Shorts closing before suspension.

Manfor, in addition to the RNS there was an internal email sent to all employees that confirmed the suspension on the 30th April. The market is fully aware of the suspension which is why the SP has been tanking for the last 2 weeks.

Furthermore, the blame for the potential 35p offer lays firmly at the feet of WG not Sidara. It's KG and his board who have put all shareholders in the hole we find ourselves.

The suspension and the uncertainty created by the lack of transparency regarding FY results has got a lot to do with the decline of the SP too. It's not necessarily just with respect to where the market believes the offer (if it comes) will be at.

Not too sure Ice. We'll find out when the FY24 accounts are published but I suspect it may make grim reading. Hope I'm wrong.

The Feb 14th RNS suggested the company would be FCF negative by 150-200m for 2025 but this would be offset by disposals.

We have had no further guidance since then to suggest otherwise but I can only assume the accounts are far, far worse than the RNS have suggested if 35p is the best possible option remaining for SH.

Either way the incompetence of this board is staggering.
