Abd yet the billion dollar contracts keeps rolling in.

A reasonably positive RNS. Sidara still very much interested but other options potentially available if the deal falls through.

Lets hope JO is correct regarding the accounts not being as dire as most believe they will be. If they're not then we could see a higher offer being proposed.

If the RNS' are to be believed the accounts when published will be abysmal. Not sure why there's even debate about this. The board wouldn't be minded to accept a derisory offer of 35p if this wasn't the case.

The real question is how a proud Scottish powerhouse has been allowed to deteriorate so quickly.

Will probably be a non-event.

I cant see any big changes being announced to the board.

because sadly, the accounts for 22/23/24 will be appalling.

Interesting to note that there is no figure attached regarding the value of the contract.

When WG were awarded a 2 year contract extension in 2023 with BSP it was worth $250m. Its fair to assume this contract over the 5 years is worth in the region of $750m - $1bn. Potentially more if the extension is invoked.

That's $11b in confirmed orders with potentially a lot more to come and we could still go for 35p or less.

Some on here will tell us that's still a good deal. I say its an abysmal one.

Pennylots, I hope youre right but the fact that WG have to some degree agreed to such a low offer tells.me otherwise. Let's see what happens.

Whenever the FY24 accounts are released, let's face it they're going to be appalling. I'm hoping against hope for something better, but I think the best we can expect is the 35p offer from Sidara.

I can see merit on both sides of the argument. Whilst Kando/capt are correct (the company were clear in the recent RNS) nothing is currently set in stone. Any number of factors including an unexpected strong Q1, CEO/board change, favourable refinancing, major contract win etc etc could change the terms of the proposed offer and the 35p price.

Lets hope we get some good news soon. It's been a rough 7 months.

The deadline on the 15th will almost certainly be extended. I cant see FY24 accounts being ready by then which unless I'm mistaken was one of the conditions for Sidara to make a bid.

Net assets as of Dec 2023 were $3.6bn. Difficult to know what the latest figure will be due to the books being effectively cooked but even with a 40% reduction that's still over $2bn remaining.

Davius, read the RNS' and do some research on WG assets. A lot of what youve said simply isnt the case.

For the record, as I very stated before I'd love for the Sidara takeover to fall through. If WG can navigate through the mess they've created for themselves the SP is likely to be far higher in 18 months.
