Many thanks OSG. I appreciate you taking the time to explain/reply. I’m not close to the situation. I think fundamentally I can’t decide whether Matt is colluding with Kelso, or whether they hold opposing positions.

Maybe, but it does show the interest in nutrition/sports nutrition.

Some on here believe we’ve reached a ceiling for nutrition, but the predictions for future growth are eye watering, as it becomes more normalised in everyday life.

I have never subscribed to the Matt v Kelso debate. Personally I feel like there are too many dotted lines, with John Goold & Iain McDonald at BOO etc.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Matt has a deal to buy their ingenuity holding directly, but I don’t know if that’s possible. What’s clear is their positive view of the THG share price, in time. They’ve taken a “short term” loan of £1m to facilitate their investments in Selkirk and THG, so they must have a pay day in sight.

Onsolidground……you know Kelso better than most, what’s your view on Selkirks future?

I note the following from an August statement, so am assuming that NCC may be in the frame, but I don’t know enough:

“Kelso continues to believe that the underlying valuation of NCC, with its two discreet businesses in Cybersecurity and Escrow software, is significantly greater than the current market capitalisation.”

Still tech investors and we haven’t heard anything from Iain McDonald since Matt made him an advisor instead of being on the board. He hasn’t even commented on Matts posts on LinkedIn as far as I’m aware. Very quiet.

Balderton are investors in Tech. Feels like there’s more chance of them bidding for Ingenuity in my opinion …..

I wanted the same 1P and would have preferred the Directors to do the honourable thing and buy in the market, instead of widening the raise goalposts to accommodate their buys, as not many have £75k to call in at 3-4 hours notice. Clearly if you had the notice the Directors/IIs had, you had time to engineer funds in advance.

I get it, I’m just not happy with it.

Hope29, the institutional holders will want a return on their investment and won’t agree to a low ball offer for RemainCo. They don’t want Ingenuity as much as Matt does. They may keep their holdings, but will want a return from nutrition/beauty in my opinion

I thought Kelso were invested here for sum of the parts and to sell off nutrition ……
