If Moulding was taking Ingenuity private on the cheap (as many have said) for long term gain/control, why would he sell the site?

Doesn’t make sense to me, especially at a price that’s peanuts to him….

Thinking back over what Matt said (verbally), particularly last year saying about waiting to see what next year brings….I tend to feel that there’s been a plan for a while. I also keep reminding myself that Icon was/is for sale, so I don’t understand why that would be the case if the property rental was going to be so integral.

Agree 1pencil. The first part was ok, but the second was poor. I don’t get the timing. It’s TGL’s niece who interviewed him and we know how much he hates interviews.

After listening to Matt on Glassmoon, I won’t be surprised to see him step out of the limelight, but am not clear how. He posted another reel on Instagram the other day, talking to JG about how they started. Strikes me he’s reminding people of what they’ve achieved, as they’re at a crossroads and we don’t know whether he’ll leave it to someone else or fight on.

These Director buys oddly have given me confidence. I cannot see Jones for instance sullying her reputation on THG, when it was partly built with associations with big brands like Premier (good update today).

Is there any scenario where these Directors are actually working to push the demerger to unlock value for all shareholders, against Matts will?

Please put aside the history. Could they be now forcing change and the recent group share purchase declaration was a sign to investors?

Might they have bought thinking that the original notification of demerger may lead to competing bid interest….which was on the table at the time?

H&B are on a growth missing in health & wellness. Both nutrition and beauty, with associated manufacturing facilities, seems much more aligned and more suited to the team working for Apollo at the time

You don’t enlist help from ex-H&B leaders to by Ingenuity in my opinion….

I’m assuming they’re referring to the dilution since fund raise…..

I don’t believe anyone on here can answer that as no one on here for certain knows which existing investors want to roll with Ingenuity. Some, possibly many, may want out of Ingenuity and will be happy to swap shares for RemainCo. We just don’t know.

Many on here want Matt to take a permanent holiday so I would have thought a week wouldn’t make much difference…..

That statement assumes Balderton want to hold Ingenuity. Surely they have only been ‘done over’ if they actually want an interest in Ingenuity going forward. If they now want their money back, they would be better to stick with RemainCo I would have thought.

Think I had missed that Kelso have been calling for a demerger of all THG businesses, not just ingenuity.

Also notable that Selkirk now have Oliver Hemsley, who was CEO of Numis from 2000 for 17 years (so not during the years when THG had issues)……and Iain McDonald was Head of Research for Numis Securities from Jan 2002 - Jun 2007, according to LinkedIn……
