The market has no idea what KDR have.
Kuhmo - 38 Kimberlite anomalies (hinted to be the jackpot)
Riihivaara - Rio took the samples to their own labs in Australia and catagorised Riihivaara as high priority rating...said likely diamondiferous. Stopped just short of confirming diamondiferous...."nothing to see here"!!!! yeh right!
Seitapera - Diamondiferous, KDRs delineation of Seitapera is what attracted Rio Tinto to KDR. Rio Tinto said they liked what KDR did.
Lahtojoki- formal registration of mining permit pending and a formality (though slow)- Will be a Mine
Havukassuo - Amazing indicators came from this, then a blow was discovered and nothing more has been said. Could be something there
Salla - Diamonds + REE. Looks like this is for Rio Tinto
Liperi - Yellow Diamonds. Looks like this is for Rio Tinto
Northern Ireland - Fermanagh/Tyrone - Awaiting results from Canada. Company appear excited. However I have no idea. Keeping an open mind here as could be something in it.
And KDR are still a tiny company, with tiny market capital. If there is any other junior company on AIM with this type of near term potential, please let me know. I certainly haven't found one. Insane upside here and I am astounded that the market still hasn't realised. It will soon. Then try buying this stock. GLA, All IMO and DYOR
Why do you think we are maintaining the Salla and Liperi Licenses? The previous exploration there was done by Ashton (which Rio Tinto acquired) when coloured diamonds and REE was found but didnt have to be disclosed. Rio enter into a confidentiality agreement with KDR. KDR immediately grab Salla and Liperi, mainhtain then renew the licences, narrow down the targets, never report on them. KDR still have them. Whilst the confidentiality agreement has since lapsed, there must be something that allows KDR to not have to report on Salla and Liperi. Joining the dots here points to Salla and Liperi being of significance to Rio Tinto. They likely want to conceal their indirect interest at Salla and Liperi. Watch this space I say.
Geologist Marja Lehtonen has studied the diamond deposits in Kaavi and Kuopio . He found a 40 km thick diamond deposit in the area at a depth of 140–180 km. The rock at such a depth cannot be exploited economically.
The prof has found something very big "at surface" at Kuhmo. Actually, it sounds like he has found multiple somethings very big! Incredible when you realise that KDR is only a tiny junior.
From Wikipedia:
The world's most diamond-rich stones
Perhaps one of the most diamond-rich stones in the world has been found in the Lahtojoki kimberlite deposit in Kaavi. The stone contains 90,000 carats of diamonds per ton. A diamond deposit is considered interesting if it contains diamonds of 0.1 carats per ton. One carat is 0.2 grams.
KDR applied for mining district of Lahtojoki over 6 years ago now. It has been 9 months since the final public meeting and decision. Why is this appeal taking so long, it’s just a variation appeal. Finland needs to get its house in order, that’s crazy red tape.
Forgot link, sorry

This is more than 11 yrs old. Read it then think of the current situation KDR are in. The prof himself said "inevitably, there will be a rush". We just need the permit to issue and land survey after Land Survey grant legal force. Tick tock.
Roy Spencer believed he was within a km of the big one in Finland. That was over 20 yrs ago. I am not sure where he is since he quietly left Arctic Star (as a footnote in an rns on Canada) a few years back. I wonder did KDR acquire his expertise temporarily when they realised what they had found at Kuhmo. 38 Kimberlite anomalies as a result of tracking the source of the green diamond found in the till, so it is literally diamonds on the sole of their shoes. True to form, everyone in Finland has clammed up about diamond exploration. Thats a sure sign that the elephant hunting has been successful. "Its taken a long time, but we have found it now". Thats what the prof said. It has taken over 20 years, but hats off to KDR for staying the course whilst everyone else left or went to the wall. As a result KDR, a tiny little company are now on the verge of huge recognition. Who would of thought? Notice how there are no tweets about diamonds and Finland from KDR, thats another sure sign Kuhmo cluster is the motherload. All IMO and DYOR
News must be close now. Hoping for news early next week as it’s that time of year.
As the prof said “ this could all change very quickly when it does” and I expect it will. Good luck to all the long term holders who have endured.
I would agree infinityx, i've no idea what Northern Ireland will bring, but it looks odds on Kuhmo will deliver soon. A major company will pay handsomely and still get it for cheap, relative to its value. Diamond deposits are a very rare thing and a world class deposit/province (with fancy diamonds) is even more rare. Why else would Conroy Gold be taking a likely 8% of KDR. Mark my words that 8% will take CGNR beyond £1.50 when the penny drops after KDR news flow.
Lahtojoki mine will be to meet a shortfall following the closure of Argyle in Australia.
Kuhmo is to replace Argyle. Think about what that means . I expect Rio Tinto will build a central processing plant.
Its highly likely Rio Tinto will take over Kuhmo (if not takeover KDR). The fundamental questions are :
When?
How much will KDR sell for?
This is not small change, we are talking very serious numbers here for a province. Rio Tinto will pay it, because they can't afford to let anyone else get their hands on this.
I also think that the KDR websites days must be numbered as its so poor and out of date. Kuhmo isn't even listed under projects, nor is Salla, Liperi, Northern Ireland. I suspect we are currently where we had expected to be 4 years ago, before the Covid delay that followed the previous legal case in Finland that Tukes won v some lahtojoki objectors, that shareholders didn't even know about, because KDR were not part of the case. The KDR website has been poor all this time as they probably thought that there is no point if it is going. We shall see.
Would think news next week (start September).
I suspect that whenever the lahtojoki permit lands, a new company will be created for it in partnership GTK and a diamond mid tier company. How long can the court take with the land compensation and land boundary appeals. They are simple decisions and will at worst only cost KDR a few more thousand (If at all). 8 months is an insane wait for something so minor. This is holding up the announcement of a joint venture deal and a new company for Lahtojoki, in my opinion.
Kuhmo on the other hand could get taken (likely by Rio Tinto) over at any stage after results surface here. Expect Salla and Liperi to be included in that too. Depending on the Northern Ireland results, we could see Rio interested there too.
