Timber - And? The rise was on the back of the anticipation of the MRE being released, then when people found out it wasn’t going to include the reserves like everyone thought the price went down. Do you think it’s a coincidence that prices go up just before positive news is released?

Hardly disproving that it’s been disappointing for a few weeks, were we not close to 12p a few weeks ago and are we not now close to 8p?

You are invested in a share that is sat at around 8p, are you telling me you wouldn’t consider an offer of 38p today? No wonder most retail investors lose money. Not my fault you got spiked haha

Ace - I think a lot of people agree with you, I don’t think many would complain if we got offer for buyout that matches our ATH. Personally I am not in much misery as I have an average of around 1.4p so even if I end up with the price we are at today I will still have made more on this than any other investment.

But I am quite happy to wait another 2/3 years and get the 50p that I am looking for which I believe will come with the right wind. Most are happy on these boards when the price is on the way up and unhappy when the price is going down, learn to live with it it’s not a conspiracy.

Exactly, we done really well to climb to nearly 12p and that rise has more or less been eradicated, hence being battered. Anyone can twist the numbers to suit, we were also at 37p not long ago, too.

To be fair we were knocking on 12p’s door a few weeks ago until SD released his MRE, so I think most people would agree that we have been battered recently surely?

Bamps - I really appreciate your posting and find it very informative. But you put ‘The reserves were always due to come with the mine plan and FS’ just yesterday. And Rational assessor said reserves can only be released once there is a mining plan which we don’t have as yet. So don’t think I am putting words in anyone’s mouth.

I don’t think people moaning on a bb should or does affect the decision of SD to release major news.

I just find it funny when people say you can lead a horse to water but can’t make it drink when referring to people not understanding the MRE. Everyone is wise after the event. If it is that obvious people should say before they happen and not afterwards.

He should have said when he announced he was planning to release it that it wouldn’t include reserves and these would be released with the FS. A lot on here are saying it was obvious that reserves wouldn’t have been included, yet I didn’t hear many people saying it before it was released?

I was happy to wait until FS and think the price will slowly creep back up above 20p in the next 12 months. Slightly concerning that every time our SP does start moving north something is released, but it always has a slight downside that allows the market to interpret it in a negative way.

Just like the ‘leak’ a while back when we were gathering momentum and SD came out to clarify that it was false, but refused to say there would categorically not be a raise unless it was to purchase a producing asset like many people argued.

People saying you asked SD to release an MRE so you got it. That’s not the case though, he was the one who announced he would release the MRE before the end of the year, and some shareholders were then getting criticised for wanting him to keep to his word.

He did imply that it would be the same as our last independent MRE, and he knew all shareholders and the market would think that included reserves, which is why the SP has reacted the way it has.

I am on the side that there of course would still be a market without shorting and PI’s like us would benefit massively if shorting was made illegal. I think the point ‘JD’ was originally trying to make was we all know shorting exists when we initially invest so we have to manage that risk along with so many others.

So quickly on these boards if a SP goes up everyone pats themselves on the back for being investment geniuses (me), but when it goes down it can only be manipulation. When we fly up to 20p+ in the next 12 months no one will be mentioning the shorters or claiming that that is manipulation.

The point is you know the vehicle you are investing in is corrupt when you decide to invest, yet we all invest anyway.

James21 - if you don’t agree with his guess then don’t worry about it. Just post your own calculations and move on. Think everyone on here has guessed what they think the next MRE is going to be by now and don’t get questioned.

Also, for a broker note they work out the calculation first then come up with a target price. They don’t come up with a target price then change calculations to fit the outcome they want, which is what a lot of people on here do. I think you misread my post anyway.

You should be positive though, I think we will be sat at x3 this SP within 18 months. GLA.

I find it funny when people make up a random future SP then work backwards from that. Saying with a PE ratio of 83 with gold price of £3200 we will easily get to ‘X’ 😂

I do agree with Dip though time is of the essence for Newmont as well as for GGP. Even if they are going to divest it still benefits them to release an updated MRE and at least a FS as it will maximise the price they can get for the assets. GLA

Culpepper - My comment was in response to Dip who said what about a scenario where Newmont ask SD to wait until February when they report so it can be released alongside the DFS/DTM. (Which could happen)

And I am saying that shareholders wouldn’t mind that as long as SD confirmed we are continuing with the JV with Newmont and the MRE would coincide with the DFS and possibly DTM.

What most would not accept is that it’s being delayed as it isn’t the optimal time with no real reasoning from SD, only to find out Newmont are divesting anyway when it comes to February. Or February comes and the can is kicked again.

Exactly Dip, to attract new investors at the minute they need to know what they are investing in. My plan is to be invested for the next 5 years at least if we are still a company barring any drastic changes, and I bought in years ago so I can afford to sit and wait as I am still well in profit even at these levels. So I want them to do whatever is in the best interests of the company long term.

The market just doesn’t like a promise that is broken and the reason given is vague like unforeseen circumstances. So the next time something is promised it will be taken with a pinch of salt because people expect it might not come to fruition.

I don’t see that much has changed since he said he would publish an updated MRE before the end of the year. I don’t expect it to change the SP all that much but won’t hurt it either and will give what he says a bit of credibility again. Although he still has a bit of credit in the bank with most shareholders I can imagine.

Dip - I don’t think anyone would have a problem with that in my opinion. If SD came out and said in an RNS Newmont are keeping Hav and Telfer and we are going mining with our 30% intact, so we are delaying the MRE to be in line with Newmont to release in February. While also confirming the DFS and DTM will both be released prior to that, I think all shareholders would be over the moon and the SP would react accordingly.

The issue I think people would have is if he just said it’s been delayed until February, then February comes and he says oh sorry it’s not coming out again now because of unforeseen circumstances. Similar to Newcrest not updating in August, although I know that was across the board and not just in relation to GGP.

Jiffy - I agree, does not make sense for us or Newmont to sell up at the minute. I meant the only way it would make sense to sell Hav in the future is if we had a good strike somewhere and it looked like we could develop that into a producing mine, but that would likely take up to 10 years.

That’s why it baffles me that SD would say that’s what Newmont are most likely going to do unless he has had in confirmed by someone at Newmont. A few people are saying that’s never going to happen but that’s what we’ve been told.

I would much prefer, like 90%+ of shareholders I can imagine, for us to keep to the JV plan and start producing with Newmont, at least for a couple of years to get some stability in the company and get some revenue, while quietly plodding away on our other projects in the background.
