Jonjo, as a very long term holder and my shares lost about 98% of its value I can tell you that we talked about this for years, the problem Val facing is because it spends so much money every year for at least the last 5 years and the reasons for this 1) they do multiple trials on their own also developing new compounds at the same time, they either know this would harm the sp but still go ahead or they didn't expect the whole thing was costing so much money. 2) the bod wages is not cheap, they all have good salary.
I don't invest in Sar but I think they were quite clever by doing trials with another company so they don't desperate needing money like Val as the result they are doing ok after years also I think Sclp is going the same route but I don't follow them that much.
As investors we need to be clear and accept that not every trial is a success and majority will fail or get to nowhere especially with cancer and Val is no exception and if failed it won't be fault because the trials is not done by them, it is by erteenal experts, but we don't know yet, by the look of val401 it does not look impressive. But for me it is not worth to sell but for anyone new, in aim market you need to trade, Val could be up 50% tomorrow but also the other way round, always set a target and not be greedy. There will be ups and downs...
