The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
I have invested £1000 at 2.9p
Once this hits i am out!
So far on this board - we have not had one geologist or professional stock broker, finance guru, share expert to say why we should invest or believe anything Helium one has put out.
No directors have made a purchase.
No major investment funds have shown any interest.
No big gas companies have declared any interest.
Lorna is a geologist working for helium one - her interpretation could be all fabricated.
So all we have left is just a lot of hot air and ridiculous predictions and statements about the share opening at 10p, 5p etc
The only people who have made a complete racket is the users of this board - many of us who are gamblers of sorts waiting for it to pay off.
I have seen stocks like this many a time before, have unlimited resources (so they say) eg: sirius, caracal etc - they never end well
Yahoo! Finance
AIM-listed miners often need to dilute existing shareholders to raise enough cash to drill and exploit well options.
Mining and exploration is a speculative business. The rewards can be extreme. But they require a lot of upfront cash for uncertain results and irregular payouts.
If anyone investigates Helium One, they should go into it with their eyes open. This market is littered with defunct mining operations that promised big and delivered little. So while Helium One could deliver, I won’t be investing as the risks are too great for me.
Anyone fancy a bet on a three legged horse called Lorna at 3.30pm tomorrow at Chepstow?
if it comes in you'll be rich for life!
This needed to hold above 2.50 to have a chance to even finish the week at 3p+
I think it looks increasingly likely that this will fall away tomorrow quite considerably even test 1.5p level.
Currently the news is half baked we have discovered world class helium. The end.
Not a single gas company is even entertaining this until it's proven independently. And people on this board are going wild.
I think the big boys know it's a long way before it will be commercialised
All this hype and good news yet people are selling?
Iv seen this happen before and it never ends well.
It's usually family members of he1 staff etc (or those in the know) whilst the suxkers are buying they are bailing. And next week a shocker of a news will drop it to 0.2p once again.
There should only be buying, selling occurring is bad, selling if millions is a definately a red flag.
Il be bailing out with my £1k invested once I break even.
My predictions might not be great.
But today I reckon it will close at either 1.9p or 2.1p and tomorrow mornings opening sub 2p.
But at least I'm more correct than those fools who said today's opening was 4p,5p and a ridiculous 10p
Need more news, quality news for this to rise further. Next news will be on commercial viability
This will either send it soaring upwards or downwards. So it's a massive massive risk.
Watch this space
I reckon today's closing price
Noble helium conc that flowed to surface 2.9%.
Helium one conc that flowed to surface 4.7%
Conc above 0.3% is economically viable.
Conc above 1% is economically vaibale and hugely profitable
Conc of 4.7%
Its time to whip it out
Love the pond analogy :)
At the moment their is no catalyst for this to boom further.
Stuck in a rut, usually means a gradual decline over next few days maybe to 1.5p
Need meaty releases from Lorna and the crew to propel further.
Waiting for a director buy from helium1 to show conviction.
Any chance we can get some professional opinions by some actual qualified geologists?
Think a lot of these tampers are complete idiots and bipolar gamblers of sorts.
There is still a massive risk, stop making out tht 3p,5p 10p and a ludicrous £1 is almost a given as it isn't.
Between now and when they possibly begin to extract the potential gas there is a huge number of hurdles. Each must be overcome.
So just chill the heck out. Be patient and wait it out. Stop ranting and raving we still have some way to go
It is all very very simple.
The next share price leap will only occur after we have some more positive news regarding testing results, or director buys etc
ie: something major
Till then will simply drift in the 1.5 - 3p zone.
Like iv said its still a massive gamble. So invest what you can only afford to lose.
The sp will only go up with newsflow and results . I think most initial news has been released for now the doldrums.
My next investment will be on the news
Folks please gamble only what you can afford to lose.
No stock can continuously increase and don't want fool to get carried away.
Over the past two decades of the 30 potential blockbuster stocks only 2 ever materialised.
My net profit over the past 2 decades is -£94000
Yes that is a loss!
I wish everyone the best. So far we have only heard from the ceo we need it all independently verifying, best wait and see
Remember its your hard earned cash.
Good luck all
I am fearing that this is a pump and dump - but i am invested just a £1k - which i can afford to lose (just about)
From the over THIRTY investments i have made in AIM and small caps i have made money on just TWO!
All were optimistic and all were super likely to deliver but sadly didnt.
Remember basic physics applies to money also, more energy needed to go uphill and very little if any needed to go downhill.
Currently im at a loss of -£94,000
Please ffs do not get carried away.
I have seen many a share in my time that have promised the earth and delivered absolutely nothing.
Please only invest what you can afford to lose - do not be reckless and do not do anything stupid.
if anyone is beliving all this hype then theoretically investing £1000 may return you £10,000
for me thats a good enough return and i can just about absorb that loss.
Dont get carried away - investing is still risky
All this hype.
Complete and utter rubbish.
Tomorrow will see another plummet sub 2p
This frenzy is feeding off little fresh news
Another massive drop coming
Lets wait for more lab test results before hyping this share price.
People saying it will go up to 20p based on no further testing is akin to saying:
Lots of people will buy red helium balloons next wednesday for Valentines and therefore the SP will rise - rather stupid and full of hot air!
We have a lot of 'experts' on this board and not enough geologists!
Can someone actually say scientifically and knowledgeably that this is an amazing find or not?
What is concerning me is that this amazing headline news was released yesterday, but we have no directors putting in their own skin in the game - no director buys.
We have not had any big corporation announce a decleration of interest of buying helium 1 out etc.
So far what we know is that
a) what had been stated in yesterday's RNS is not gospel - it all needs scrutinizing and quantifying and independently assessing
b) Helium 1 are too small to go it alone and so will need to merge or undertake dilution and placing to finance.
I think the clever ones are those sitting on the fence - waiting it out. Seeing if what was said in yesterdays RNS was truth or complete bull. Years of experience in minnow companies has taught me what is often stated is always polar opposite to what is reality!
Good luck all!
From The Times:
Helium One Global’s stock market value doubled on Monday after the gas exploration outfit announced a discovery at its Rukwa project in southwestern Tanzania.
The Aim-listed company said its Itumbula West-1 well had successfully flowed a high concentration of helium, with concentrations reaching 4.7 per cent.
“Flowing helium to surface in such high concentrations is a huge milestone for the company,” Lorna Blaisse, chief executive of Helium One, said, adding that management would focus on achieving “commerciality at the earliest opportunity”.
In addition to finding helium, the group also discovered that hydrogen flowed to the surface during testing.
Helium One, which floated on the stock market in 2020, operates three assets in Tanzania: Rukwa, Balangida and Eyasi.
Analysts at Liberum, the company’s house broker, said the update represented a “significant event” for Helium One, while analysts at Singer Capital Markets noted that the science around helium exploration remained in its infancy, meaning further studies were needed to shed light on the region’s potential.
