BP is a very good investment, I agree so my question is, as we know the share price mirrors the ftse graph as a fact today just goes to show how true this is. Is BP pulling down the ftse or is the ftse pulling down BP?? And what will happen to the share price when ftse breaks 7000 which it will?? Any thoughts are very welcome.

I can tell you from experience that I have made much more trading then holding. What I have also noticed is there is very small gains for long term holders. To wait 3 months to make 4p while the share price is this high is crazy you can make 4p literally once a week if not once a day trading. When I was sharing my buy and sell somehow I was been rude and with a deep recession coming I guarantee dividends won’t keep up with the fall in share price and the main problem is the price of oil.

Just look at what Elon musk has done he selling all his stock he is now cash rich. What do you think he is getting ready for? I suppose me or you know more then one of the riches men in the world and his team of advisers.

If oil prices hit $150 for a Sustained period of time which is what you lot are hoping for then of course There will be civil war and collapses of more than just the EU of the entire world economy.

Me or you the ftse 100 is only a few percent higher then it was 20 years ago and in 2002 it tanked to 3500 due to inflation and high oil prices. This information is out there for everyone to see. When I recommended selling BP at over £5 you criticised me and blocked me. I put my case to you that in fact it has been proven that you are the dangerous one.

Are higher oil prices a good thing? An increase in oil prices usually lowers the expected rate of economic growth and increases inflation expectations over shorter horizons. Decreasing economic growth prospects, in turn, lower companies' earnings expectations, resulting in a dampening effect on stock prices. We know for the last 40 years BP has tracked the FTSE 100 so higher oil prices are actually going to be a bigger problem when it causes a down shift on the world economy.

I have done some research and would like to share it. If you lay the FTSE index over the BP share share price it tracks it exactly for the last 40 years.
Given inflation is out of control and interest rates are rising a recession is almost unavoidable and the fact that the ftse 100 at around 7500 it is almost certainly at the top for the next 5 years. I could see a drop of the ftse as low as 6500 within the next 24 months before the next rally to break 8000. This mean BP has a potential to hit 375 wiping out any gains received in dividends agains capital gains or loses. The question is can BP share price move away from a 40 year trend? Or will the ftse define all odds and head to 8500 while having these headwinds against it?

Russia maybe cutting production but why? You have to look at what’s going on around you. Inflation at 10 percent and workers striking for a 20 percent pay increase. They may get what they are asking for as they do deserve it and employers may have no choice. So inflation may increase and banks may have to keep increasing interest rates for longer. I personally see 10 percent and a deep recession which will have a massive demand on world oil demand so maybe Russia is planning a oil production cut but not for the reasons been advertised in the news.

When interest rate are around 5 percent in saving account and rising is it better to be in a stock that pays less which has a potential to drop massively do you actually know what is been discussed in parliament right know about BP??

There’s going to be a surplus of oil early next year. So expect oil prices to drop. This is actually a good thing long term for the U.K. and Bp just gives good trading opportunities.
