I’m not sure how this will pan out but it’s still making news at some stage it will need to be addressed. One I did originally think that the businesses could be spilt into to shares and then say £380 and £1 and then the £1 roftneft suspended/cancelled but i think the two companies are actually just one. I’m happy to sit on the side line for now.

When the investors work out that half of the dividends came from Russia which they can’t get at then the penny may drop.

Today was a great day and a great opportunity to sell. Remember the bull goes up the stairs the bear goes out the window. Set a low buy price you dont want to buy high on the way down.

and the fact that tesla chief financial officer Zachary Kirkhorn bought 13500 shares from his stock option which expire in 2028. It show that he believes that this could be a low point looking forwards for the next 5 year. This should give the market great confidence for the new year.

If BP was to sell Rosneft for any amount of money and either give it up on tax, to Ukraine or as a special dividend BP share price would go down by around the same amount dive or take. That’s just a fact.

How does a special dividend impact share price?
As stated above, the share price falls by the amount of the dividend on the day the dividend is paid. This is because the value of the cash is no longer included in the intrinsic value of the business. If the business is strong, the price will return to previous levels in time.

Jakers do you know what happens when a special dividend is paid? I was involved with Tesco when they paid a special dividend and the share price went down exactly the same amount sometimes a little more sometimes a little less but the same amount this is a fact for all special dividends paid. So the U.K. has already said that if BP does benefit from its Russian assets it will be forced to give the proceeds to Ukraine or loss it in tax. So this is what I mean about the quality of investor buy but know the risk and offer advice when you know what your taking about and also have a balanced opinion and things you don’t agree with come up with a valid Contradiction instead of calling investors clowns!

Jakers to actually think BP would give a special dividend to it share holder for a sale from rosneft just goes to show the mentality on today’s investors. At best it would be sold and completely given/taken in tax or donated to Ukraine. What you need to remember is that rosneft if 1/3 of BPs market capitalisation. So we could actually see 320 after this transaction not a special dividend.

Let’s hope there is no news on any sale for a good few years until things can be handled more diplomatically given what’s going on in Russia. The only stimulus measures coming to China is hopefully to the Heath care and proper vacancies. Here in the U.K. we should make anybody traveling from China or indirectly quarantine for two weeks and test at the traveling persons expense to a void what I would say unimaginable but unfortunately its not another lock down. It all well and good saying we can’t afford another lock down we couldn’t afford the 1st one and if we was to have another one the government wouldn’t be paying for everyone to sit at home we may have to defend for ourselves.

Maybe £3 is possible Causal but it would take another lock down. I see a strong but fluctuating demand even through this recession which should provide BP with enough profit to continue the support of buy back and Hence the share price.

Look like Tesla stock price has hit a over sold point. I can see the recovery tick in the 1 year graph. This has a potential to break out fast as short close position. I estimate we could see $160 within a couple of weeks if not sooner

We are 10p lower then we should be on the 3 month cycle to brake the 520 so we could see £4 unfortunately at the April sell off tax/new isa allowance. Put it in your diary and write BP £4 y11

I’ve always thought tesla was in a bubble but after the recent sell off and shorts taken full advantage it maybe a good entry level. Since the middle of September shorts sellers have been closing and if any serious buying happens it could be a race to see who closes the fasted creating a short squeeze.
Shorts have lost money for the last few days after 3 months of massive winning streak Could this be another game stock experience or could we just get a bounce before the next big drop??

China are experiencing 5000 Covid deaths per day as of the 25th dec 2022. Not sure what’s going on but can u imagine China even trying to do a u turn at this stage?

I know it would be easy to see your neighbors and friends lose there jobs and home and the U.K. economy go down the pan so some investors can double there £300 investment on the stock market but the reality is we all need $60 oil so our families can make ends meat.
