How were they doing at £19, were they outperforming the index there? Look what happened.

The cyclical correction is crazy hence why I invested heavily at £12.28 and not £19.

Argue all you like the share price will trend back up into summer, commercial performance is strong and Jet2 are leaders in the market. You can argue black is white and white is black but you are just embarrassing yourself

I am expecting Málaga and Spain generally to be stepping up because Jet2 are actively looking to add contracted capacity at its best selling existing hotels and are approaching other chains to negotiate.

It's not going to be easy here because we are hitting targets and discounting blocks isn't a priority.

Jet2 plc has announced a significantly expanded Summer 2027 programme from its new London Gatwick base, increasing capacity by 27% to meet demand. The airline and tour operator has put 1.1 million seats on sale across 35 sun and leisure city destinations, including a new exclusive weekly Sunday route to Lesvos (Mytilene) operating from 2 May to 10 October 2027. It is also adding capacity on popular routes such as Ibiza, Malaga, Palma (Majorca) and Tenerife, with more than 85 weekly departures during peak periods.

it was £10.88 early april and lifted into the year end trading update at the end of april and the launch of the £250m share buyback. this triggered a rise that topped at £19.59 by the 10th june.

essentially the business was doing much better than many thought and the share buybacks limited liquidity.

this year we have a trading update next week and we can expect information about how the trading went to year end 31st march and crucially summer booking volume around end of april or start of may.

the share price dipped into april largely because of the information the company provided about people booking later ( no ****) and failing to give much information on summer sales.

I think that you desperately look for anything you can spin as negative. Anyone would think that you are holding short.

If I had a huge amount of options looming I wouldn't buy now either. I certainly wouldn't buy now if I was CFO or CEO for obvious reasons.

I find it a bit irrational the way people like you think. So you hold £5.2m worth, have substantial options and a CEO retirement package. Then a knobhead on a public forum thinks that's somehow negative.

Obviously a massive amount of options are available to the directors so they don't actually have to buy any to have an interest in the share price appreciation. Linking performance to renumeration and benefits seems to be good value for shareholders.

Then there's 9000 employees in the share scheme.

Rachel is a accountant and was at easyJet previously.

It's obviously not a massive purchase as directors purchases go but represents 3 months salary as a NED.

I took another £9000 worth after the bell at the auction price £13. Plenty of activity today. Oil back at $70 for Brent killed the rise today unfortunately.

Interesting times for these Holiday hybrids.

I think it'll be a solid update with good winter performance and early summer sales success. Some encouraging words at Gatwick sales but caution about pre launch costs for Gatwick. Maybe a caution about first year rarely being profitable. Good performance at Bournemouth, Luton and across the network l. An increase in flight only trade accounting for many of the extra seats.

In a rising trend it'll be fuel. In a poor market it can go the other way. Ideally we'll be back in the mid £14s by then.

UT at 1301 today. The day traders selling in the last 20 minutes did spoil a good day today with a solid reversal creating a platform to pull away from the £13 speed bump.

A substantial purchase showing some confidence or maybe a sort closing before we see serious movement up.

Lukey the UT isn't relevant to tomorrow it's a mop up of today. It's to empty the book at the end of the day in an exchange. I always put in an auction bid around 12p above the close. Sometimes I get lucky and buy back first thing under the sell to pocket a few free shares. That's often responsible for the mass of buys on opening.

Donald it's designated a UT. It's effectively a trade that's matched at the price most trades are seeking on the book. It's not a buy or a sell it's an exchange.

On IG if you do a trade at a set price that isn't achieved at the end of the day it's entered into auction. You can trade in the auction if you want to sell or buy. I say on IG because iii seems to ignore the auction. You can't trade live because the exact time of the transaction is random for fairness.

It's normally a 30 second interval with 10 to 15 minutes after 16:30.

So to summarise it's not a buy or a sell. Often it's positive if it above the closing price but not always. You can participate on some platforms.

So the question is why don't they just buy on the market whilst it's open. The most common answer is these are foreign holders with no direct market access.

I trade on IBKR because it's in Luxembourg and I live in Europe. 2 years ago it was the only way I could access the UK exchange. All my trades were in the 3 or 4 auctions a day. I couldn't see live prices. Now I can and I can trade live on the market.

I could say trust me but it's on the Jet2 website.

The update is on February 25th. I think we'll see £14 before that

Aspers to make any sense it needs to go to £16. However rarely does the market make sense. It went to £19.50 in rapid time.
