It was a bit of a gift this morning for anyone looking to add. I wish I had taken more. It's pushed my average to £12.36 but it's manageable there.

The pre open auction was bizarre but we have seen the same at easyJet last year.

The results were pleasing in that the Gatwick start up costs are absorbed without missing the target profit. I thought that a £15 or 20m hit could be taken there. Also I thought we may get some aircraft delivery delays into summer but it appears not with 8% growth on last summer which was itself a massive summer schedule.

It's one of those times where the market got it wrong and it creates an opportunity. It always pays to keep some powder dry.

I think this shows that Jet2 can grow even in a tough market. They are still growing rapidly+8% summer 26 on top of substantial growth last year. Flying more seats from more places to more places.

Certainly delivered my expectations. They absorbed the Gatwick start up costs and are still in a strong position to hit the consensus target.

It clear the market had priced jet2 as a struggling business but it's quite the opposite.

Tomorrow won't bring any results. It's a trading update.

There are another 5 weeks left in the trading year.

We'll hear about the expectations for the years profit before tax, FX and other deductions, hopefully it will be towards £600m. If it is then winter will have been an excellent performance.

We'll probably hear about Q1 sales as we did last year and Q2 which is summer we may get some early numbers but I suspect it's too early to make any conclusions.

I want to hear that they experience strong summer demand and prices remain robust although the later booking trend is continuing it's now the norm across the industry.

It takes a few days to see what the market really thinks about new information.

The share price is ridiculous.

James I think people generally talk from their own point of view. I have been in hotel management nearly 30 years and now I am the business development lead for a hotel group with 4 very well known brands. So yes I do talk a lot about it.

We have 2 hotels in Fuengirola and 2 in Mijas so I do spend a lot of time there. I have responsibility for planning across 18 hotels on the Costa del Sol.

Awesome Scottie. I was there yesterday. Super weather after a terrible winter. It's beautiful again today.

Egypt is a very different story to southern Spain over winter. We get Easter onwards booked well ahead of time but winter is mostly adults and last minute. Lots of golf groups who don't book until they get a good weather forecast.

When did you book, are you on an easyJet package.

We do the bulk of our easyJet bids 3-4 weeks prior to fill any gaps. Jet2 have contracted capacity or to be more accurate contracted options. It doesn't work for us as a business because we sell through our own portal very successfully and rarely discount especially in advance.

I know the situation in Egypt is different because most hotels have low occupancy in winter and overheads are much lower.

I tend to ignore whizz because they are an airline rather than a North South holiday provider. Also with their Pratt and Whitney stuff the share price has been more about that than anything else.

I walked along the front at Fuengirola today, lots of Brits roaming around in the sunshine. They are unmistakable against the Europeans.

The Costa del Sol will break records again this year. Jet2 are reporting strong demand in Greece and North Africa.

I believe that we are at the start of substantial growth in the share price here but currently it's unclear what will stop the traders controlling the price movement.

My advice is be patient and optimistic because this share price is ridiculous at this level. However it's not limited to Jet2; easyJet and on the beach are also at crazy prices

Just 43000 a day average bought last week reflecting the reduced availability of small transactions in a rising trend.

How do you make money. You buy when it's cheap and unloved and sell after the mugs buy in.

Sorry if that's too easy for you. I have been doing this a long time and I am extremely successful. I don't fall in love or hate with any share. No shares are good or bad, there's just a good or bad time to hold them.

You can try to explain all you like but it's irrelevant when it trends up against you ideas.

Relax let the trend be your friend.

Did investors expect them to move to the main market. I didn't and I definitely don't want them tom last year I enjoyed the ride up to around 18.50 where I jumped.

I did that on the strong commercial performance and the buybacks.

How were they doing at £19, were they outperforming the index there? Look what happened.

The cyclical correction is crazy hence why I invested heavily at £12.28 and not £19.

Argue all you like the share price will trend back up into summer, commercial performance is strong and Jet2 are leaders in the market. You can argue black is white and white is black but you are just embarrassing yourself

I am expecting Málaga and Spain generally to be stepping up because Jet2 are actively looking to add contracted capacity at its best selling existing hotels and are approaching other chains to negotiate.

It's not going to be easy here because we are hitting targets and discounting blocks isn't a priority.
